The manual is here: I don't see an internal Firewire connector, but you can buy a card for one.

What is the best way to run the mic on desktop

Your condensor mic requires special electrical handling usually reserved for proffesional audio equipment, not a PC. You will need two pieces of equipment, a short XLR cable and an adapter cable.
1) Behringer PS400 Ultra-Compact Phantom Power Supply.
This will supply the mic with necessary Phantom Power.
2) Rapco Horizon ISOBLOX Transformer Isolation 1:1 BLOX Device
This will isolate the Phantom Power from your computer, allowing it to work as necessary.
The adaptor connector cable you need will be a female XLR (with pins 1 and 3 shorted, pin 2 hot), through a cable connect to a 1/8" mini plug. They connect in that order with a short XLR cable between 1) and 2). .

I have just bought an m-audio fast track guitar interface, i have tried it on both of my windows xp pc but i get no sound can you give me step by step instructions as i am missing something

Good Day,
First, check connection of all peripherals and the PL / XLR plugs that you maybe using. If all seems to be connected, you may try to re-install the software by following these steps:
If you are running on windows XP:
first Unplug the Usb connection with the PC to the M-audio interface. place the CD that came with the interface, and start the installation utility, and install. Just click Next, and it will continue. If you see a message stating that driver has not passed Windows Logo Testing just click continue anyway. This may appear several times. After installation, Reboot. After rebooting, plug in the M-audio interface, a window will pop-up and just select "Install automatically" then next, and now let it finish copying the rest of the needed files. Be sure though, to still have the CD in your drive. After that you may start the program as usual, you may also check the control panel if the settings for the audio interface suits you needs. Go to Control panel, Open "Sounds and Devices" and under Playback and Record, select Fast Track USB. Then click apply.

Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya.

I lost my driver of sound card how can i install it again my soun card model is CMI8738-6CH

Make sure your audio drivers are uninstall (if you can but, not required), and install Driver Max software. Do a google search and install the driver max software. This software automatically detects all the hardware components in your computer2.gif and help you install the relevant drivers This works real good for emachines.
