Question about Sony KV-32S42 32" TV
I ALSO HAS THE SAME OF SIMELARLY PROBLEMS. SONY/kv32S42 ONLY STANDBY LED KEPT FLASHING NO HI-VOLTAGE AND I DID CHECK OUT PUT TRANSISTOR OUTPUT AND SOME VOLTAGE --5VOLTAGE AND +5 VOLTAGE LINES IS OK. WHAT OUT NEXT?

THE PROBLEM IS PROBABLY BEING CAUSED BY A SHORTED POWER REGULATOR (MX084 ) OR AN OPEN FUSEABLE RESISTOR IN THE POPWER SUPPLY. USUALLY A JOB FOR A SKILLED SONY TECHNICIAN.

Check secondary voltages and horizontal out put section, and check smps and all the voltages and line out put transformer section...

SOURCE: standby light stays on
When attempting to turn on the set, the standby light should blink for a a while then stop once the picture comes on. If a problem is detected internally, the standby light should blink in a repeated pattern. Please count the number of blinks that are repeating and we should be able to help.
