Ask the seller! He has a vested interest in helping your machine work! As a former newspaper writer, believe me, if you send something to a local rag, about your problems with your Janome, the seller will sit up, and take Notice!

SOURCE: will not pick up bobbin thread

Unusual for this machine. Check to be sure the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back of the machine. If it is, remove the needle plate, bobbin and bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel slowly toward you and see if the point of the hook is above or below the eye of the needle when the hook point is aligned behind the needle. If the eye is above the point of the hook the machine is out of time and best taken to qualified technician.

Has the bobbin case dislodged and moved? there should be two red marks one on the bobbin case and one on the outer holder, are they lining up? Sometimes as these cases are held by a magnet, they will get dislodged and move slightly, especially in a jam up.
Take out the bobbin case and clean under it, then replace it matching up the red marks.

If the bobbin case has actaully been struck by the needle during a dislodgement, it may well pierce the bobbin case plastic, look for burring or marks on the outer flange area. If this has occured, the thread may catch on the burr as it comes over the bobbin and jam again.

You can buy a new bobbin case if yours is damaged or maybe just file the burring with an emery board (remove it from the machine first of course).

Lastly, check your needle hasn't been bent, burred, or put in backwards, any of these can prevent a stitch from forming.

If all the above fails, then it is possible that the timing has been knocked out and you will need to get it serviced by a technician.

Janome 350E Sewing Machine. I am getting a message telling me to raise the presser foot and needle bar then turn off the machine. After doing all that the message is still there? What can I do?

Are you having any problems moving the needle bar with the hand wheel? Make sure that the presser foot is up and the needle bar is fully up. Then redo the top threading for the machine. Try unplugging the machine and blowing any loose debris out of the needle bar area. (I'd suggest compressed (canned) air or equivalent to minimize excess moisture in the electronics.) Also check if the machine gives the same message with the presser foot and needle down on restart.

If the problem persists, then the issue is likely to be a faulty control board. I don't know if any sewing machine repair technicians still have spare boards. They aren't on the in stock parts at two vendors that I know.

I hope this helps.

I need instuctions on using different presser foot for ja nome schoolmate

Please add a comment with the specific model of Janome Schoolmate sewing machine.

Fpr the Janome Schoolmate S-3015, make sure that the needle is fully up and raise the presser foot. Then press the red button on the back of the presser foot holder to have that foot drop off. Set the pressure dial to 3 before attaching the new presser foot. For snap-on feet, align the pin of the presser foot (the horizontal bar in the middle of the foot) under the presser foot holder. Lower the presser foot holder (using the presser foot height lever) until it locks onto the foot.

For the zipper foot, you need to fit the rear pin on the foot into groove at the back of the presser foot holder. Then lower the presser foot holder onto the zipper foot.

These are shown on page 11 (14 of the PDF) of the manual. You can download the manual here: http://janome.com/en/machines/sewing/schoolmate-s-3015/ . The direct link to the manual is http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/schoolmate3015.pdf .

For the S-7330, you need to again raise the needle and the presser foot. Press the lever towards (it moves slightly up, not down) the presser foot holder. Then line up the pin on the foot under the presser foot holder and lower the presser foot holder onto the foot so that it locks. This is also in that sewing machine's manual, here: http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/inst-book-s-7330esf.pdf . See page 14 (18 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

Error message #2

Perhaps this error list will help you resolve the problem:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0ahUKEwijuKaq-9fJAhUD6WMKHXLVCyYQFggjMAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.janomeservicevideos.com%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F02%2FError-Codes.pdf&usg=AFQjCNHyJmEhmZ9Avh-lSL4Y0vVHEYM1yg&cad=rja

Try lowering the pressure foot and the needle and then raise them
again and then restart the machine, and if that doesn't clear the
error message then it's time to service the machine.

How do I fix the following problem with my Janome MC9000 sewing machine?

Unfortunately you are probably not going to be able to fix this.
It needs a sensor adjusted (probably), or a component replaced.

How do I turn corners with the overlock foot for a Janome 2049?

Sew to the end of the fabric, slowing right down to within a stitch or two of the end, manually turn wheel to complete last two stitches, stop, raise needle, raise presser foot, turn fabric so the back edge of the fabric is just under the needle, drop needle, drop presser foot and resume.
