Have you tried entirely unplugging the unit and waiting a few minutes and trying again?

malfunction 4 is the steam boiler sensor has failed

mcdevito75 here, Possibly the battery is weak, (Need New Battery) or the quartz mechanism is going bad, see the repair service directory here at fixya, bottom of page click on repair service directory then watches.

To be on the safe side, I would go to a jeweler. They may show you how to do it. Otherwise, it should not break the bank to make sure it is done well.

sounds like the pipe has been blown off inside the machine, easy to fix if you take the back panel and top panels off
