SOURCE: trouble removing carbs on 96 CBR 600 F3

Theres a big lip holding it. Make sure all cables and pipes/hoses are removed, spray with some WD40 or similar spray lube and then try prying it with something that won't damage the carbs or engine.

SOURCE: Cleaning Carb Jets

not to a trained ear also go by rpm and spark plug color

NOTE: use copper wire to clean jets, sync is just thottles are same position as all carb's just leave them adjustments alone will be fine if are out use a 1/8 drill an place in between piston/butterfly to carb bore to sync/calibrate

better use a manometer for adjusting screws

depends on condition of org parts

worn = richer running

new = lean an clean

also if changed the exhaust system need to
re-calibrate carbs for max performance

SOURCE: Jet Ski Won't Start when Engine is cold

You must take out completely the carbs and clean them especially their canisters with the flowters.They may have jelled gas inside or closed air pipes.Use a carb cleaner spray and compressed air.

SOURCE: honda shadow 1100 will not idel unless choke is all the way on

Okay, let me see if I can help you out...it may not be the jets in the carburetor. Hondas, like most other street bikes, have an idle adjust screw on the carburetor. Most times, you can adjust that screw to get your idle at 1000rpm, which is the norm for idle speed.

The screw is not hard to identify; the easiest way is to first, take the air cleaner and intake off. Then watch the carburetor throttle linkage while you twist the throttle. You will see where the throttle cable connects to the carb and there will be a spring-loaded screw right there. Turning that screw adjusts the static (idle) position of the throttle plate; turn the screw so the plate moves in the same direction the throttle cable pulls it.

I'm willing to bet that adjusting this screw will get your idle back to normal. If it doesn't, come back here and let me know; I will then lead you through a procedure to fix the carburetor. Cheers!

Yamaha EF2400is inverter generator, Won't start, I cleaned the carb,put back together, after pulling starter rope checked spark plug, Dry, gas does not reach it?

First of all loosen the nut that holds the bowl on and make sure fuel is getting to the carburetor. If not the hose to the fuel tank is clogged up with setament has to be clean. If fuel is getting to the carburetor there usually a jet that will unscrew inside where the tube that the float bowl nut screws in to. You have to remove the jet and clean the small holes on the side of it and make sure the middle hole is clear.

Where do I put the carbeurator gaskets on husqvarna5521?

this link shows how to rebuild a carb. I suggest cleaning the jets before you try anything else, if you havent done so already. At the bottom of the carb there is a not that holds the bowl in place. Remove yhe nut and bowl. In the nut there are tiny holes, clean them out using a wire (bread tie will work) you can also use an air compressor, A shot of carb cleaner wont hurt. Help!! '97 Seadoo GTI, just had the carburetor rebuild, replaced the Rectifier Regulator, replaced the spark plugs and recharged the battery. But the jet ski would only reach 40mph and it would bog down to...

Sounds like you might have the rotary valve in the wrong position. Also you are going to need to replace your fuel lines and check the fuel petcock for any blockage. Lastly, when u rebuilt this carb did you check the tiny fuel filter behind the pump body?

You are probably dealing with moisture corrosion in the carburetor. Take out the carb and carefully clean it. Paying close attention to the needle. Be careful not to alter the spring on the needle in any way.

No fuel is getting to the carb,

The two fuel pumps are mounted on the individual carburetors and are operated by crankcase vacuum. Typically if the carburetors are not getting fuel it is the fault of moisture corrosion on the needles inside the carburetors that open and close with the pulses to feed fuel to the jets. A thorough carb cleaning should fix the problem.
