Recent history & if anyone has recently shot it, submerged it or parked it on it's roof??

If it is a GM... they are notorious for having idles issues (running too fast) While stopped the torque converer will only tollerat a limited number of revolutions... and then it ENGAGES...

Caused by the "cold air valve" in the "FUEL INJECTION".

Called "lock-up" speed... The engine will die as good as any clutch (trainee) driver just learning to (almost) drive.

If you want a better answer... better question would be really helpful.

Did you check to see if you wired it the same way you removed it? Make sure you are wiring it the exact same way as it was initially.

sounds like the alarm sensors are quite sensitive and r picking up air vibrations or could b a cat climbing on the car u should be able 2 get the alarm ajusted

STUCK 2-3 SHIFT VALVE , STUCK THROTTLE VALVE LINE BIAS VALVE OR REVERSE BOOST VALVE IN VALVE BODY STUCK.GO TO AUTO PARTS STORE BUY SOME TRANSMISSION ADDITIVE THAT YOU CAN POUR IN TRANSMISSION THAT WILL FREE STUCK SHIFT VALVES IN THE TRANSMISSION.

Verify that the car is getting fuel and spark to the cylinder.
Verify that the fuel pump is generating enough pressure.
May have to check and/or replace the fuel pressure regulator.

I once had a fuel pump replaced on a 1990 Cutlass Calais (GM Product) at Firestone, and the pump went bad within a couple of weeks.

Had it replaced with a different brand fuel pump, under warranty, and it has worked ever since.

well the chirp sounds like a belt problem but the light click is usualy the lifters try using a higher grade of gas,and hope its not a berring going in the water pump.

replace the spark plug wires, it will most likely cure the problem.
