Bought my demon DRA 345 in early 90s the tuner started to play up 8 yes ago but amp help up until now. under load heat output hot enough to fry an egg. have just cleaned interior of dust and operating in unloaded moved NO INPUT NO OUTPUTS CONNECTED and is not heating up. is it time to give it away???
There is a site listed below which has links to the service manual.I would look at the capacitors to see if any are blown and need to be replaced. If you have some that are indeed blown, then it can't get the energy it needs on demand and will heat up. Caps are easy to replace and you can tell they are bad if they are swollen, bulging on the top, or leaking. Cheap and easy fix and I presume you meant Denon in the text, lol.
Denon DRA 345R Manual AM FM Stereo Receiver HiFi Engine
SOURCE: right channel not working
check the pre out /main in jumper there should be a loop jumper for both left and right. if you are using a graphic EQ check the wires connecting to the receiver and the EQ. also is this happening on all sources?
SOURCE: denon receiver (DRA 397) will not speak to iPod dock
IF YOUR NOT USING A DENON IPOD DOCKING STATION IT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
YOU CAN CONNCET OTHER TYPES OF IPOD DOCKING STATIONS BUT YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL THROUGH THE DENON AND ONLY CONNECT THE AUDIO FOR THAT DOCKING STATION TO THE DENON AS ANOTHER SOURCE INPUT
SOURCE: looking for Denon dra 1025r Service &/or user manual
I have a Denon Dra-1025R operating instruction book,if this what you need and I can offer some info let me know
SOURCE: I have a Denon DRA
Which speakers do you have? The Denon is best for 6-8 ohm speakers. If your currently hooking them up to speakers that are 4-6 ohms, it will shut off to protect itself. The other thing to check is the wiring. What guage are you using?
Testimonial: "my Speakers are 4 ohms, and my speaker wiring is a monster cable ULT I1000-4"
SOURCE: The power supply has burnt out on my denon dra-455 reciver.
It really depends what and how much burn't up? The only way to find out it to take the top cover off and look inside. A lot of parts in the power supply section can only be replaced by excat parts due to safety reasons. And are you certain it's the power supply that's gone up, and not the POWER AMP section? It could be just one part that started smoking. If any semi-conductor has burnt up, you might not be able to read the code number, in which case you will need the service manual.
SO GET LOOKING INSIDE!
