CARD LOCKED CAMERA- PENTAX OPTIO T30
PROBLEM-CARD LOCKED
I turn on my camera and it says card locked. It does not allow me to take any pictures or delete any of my pictures because it says the card is locked
Take out the memory card and move the switch located somewhere on the memory card usually on the side to the unlocked position. Then the memory card isn't locked this is so you don't accidentally delete important things Thanks and enjoy, Lee

Your memory card is in the locked mode. The SD(HC) card has a little switch to the left side, when you look on the factory logo off the card. It should be in the up position. When down (locj position) it is write protected. (You also can't format the card) Be sure you do the format in your camera. When formating in your PC, it could be the camera can't read or write it.
Is the slide switch on the side of the card in the unlocked position? If so, try this...remove the card and the battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.
Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Is your memory card locked? It won't let you delete pictures if it is. Check the little switch on the side of the memory card and move it in the opposite direction and then see what happens. Good Luck.
try using another memory card. I would take the memory card back to the shop and ask for another one. I had the same problem. it was the card, not the camera.
What you need to do is take out the card, and on the side of it there
should be a little gray thing which can slide up and down. It needs to
be slid all the way up. I hope this helps!!
The card locked usually means 'protected'
Check out the manual for image protection - on/off.
Or put card back into computer and delete[NOT FORMAT] from there.
A more comprehensive manual is usually found the the CD that came with the camera
