My 4 ports on my Belkin g-router (F5D7230-4) are used up and I have a spare older Belkin b-router (F5D6231-4) that I would like to use as a wired switch. I need one more port for a recent Tivo HD purchase. (apparently it only uses their proprietry adapter for the wireless g connection and it's expensive). I figure this switch can be the hub for the living room tv accessories. I don't need the wireless access of the old b-router and there is an "Access Point Mode" on it. Is it as simple as enabling it? Do I need DHCP to assign IP addresses for each toy requiring internet access. Thanks.
