There is probably a top of form setting which needs to be checked & corrected.
I assume you've checked tab/margin settings in your software & printer setup?

To check if this is a hardware issue, please print a menu settings page. The purpose of this diagnostic is to check if this is a software issue or a hardware issue.
1. Press Menu to display Menus. 2. Press "down" until the "check" appears next to Reports. 3. Press "Check". 4. Press "down" until the "check" appears next to Menu Settings Page. 5. Press "check". The message Printing Menus Settings appears on the display. The printer returns to the Ready state after the menu settings page prints.
If the menu settings page printed without the dots, this would be a software issue. In that case, please call our Technical Support Hotline on (800) 539-6275.

The problem may be from either from the toner cartridge or the settings of the printer. change the toner first and see whether he problem still persist and also make sure that the settings of the printer on your system is ok, if the problem still persist after doing all this then it implies that you need to service your printer.
i think the settings not correct , resetting the printer properties properly and check , if the problem not solved then uninstall the printer driver and restart the system and after restarting the system reinstall the printer driver properly by using proper port setting and then restart the system . When the system start then check

Hi, to perform a self-test on an Epson LX300 > start with the power switch off. Press LF/FF (middle switch), without releasing that button, power on the printer. If everything is ok it will print a sel-test page. To do a Hex Dump > start at power off, simultaneously press Font and the LF/FF buttons (left & middle buttons), then power on; to revert the printer to its factory default setting(s) > start in off position, press Font (left) button then power on. (Slightly different with an LX300+) Hope this works out for you. Cheers.
