The drain should be behind the fridge. Look below for the outlet into a drain pan. The line could be plugged. Look for a pinch in the line or other obstruction.

Why is water pooling under right crisper?

On defrost refrigerators water is drained down the sides to an outlet on the bottom of the interior of the unit and then to a tray under the unit, close to the floor, where it is heated and evaporates.
If he hole inside is plugged then the water will pool inside.
Take out both crispers and try to find the location where the water will flow out. It may be plugged with gunk The inside bottom of the unit may have indented runs where the water will be directed to the outlet.

HMG1947 with ice maker. Intermittent problem getting worse! I am getting water on the inside bottom, which will leak out onto the kitchen floor if I don't catch it with paper towels under the bottom...

Is the freezer section cooling properly. If yes, then problem is drain hole blocked in freezer section. There is a water drain hole, which runs to the drain line. But if the drain hole is got clogged by ice, then water will leak from other end and you get water in bottom drawer.-------- try manual defrost procedure.----------

The manual defrost reset procedure is as follows : ----
First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. Then check, do you notice the same problem, if yes then defrost assembly board is faulty. But in most cases defrost reset procedure helps.----------- Thanks.Helpmech.

Kenmore model#59675932402 Top part of fridge not cold it is running but not cold, and fridge has been leaking also

check for ice buildup in the freezer floor,if so then the drain hole for the defrost pan is plugged up and when it defrosts the water from this leaks down into the refrige, you need to remove rear inner wall panel inside freezer and take a small wire and rat out the drain hole under the evaporator coil that goes to the bottom of the unit

The unit is on a hardwood floor and there is water damage to the floor. The unit appears to be dry now. Could it have a leak that can't be seen?

The potential for water leaking to the floor is probably still there. Open the door of the unit, look in the back and you will see a white plate; that is the evaporator. When the unit is running, there is a light frost that forms on the front and back surface of the evaporator; sometimes the frost can get a bit thick because of air laden moisture infiltration or the frequency of door opening. That frost eventually will melt and drain from a drain hole right underneath the evaporator. If that drain hole is plugged up, water will eventually leak out from under the door. Keep that hole clean and patent and also check the state of the water collecting pan underneath the the unit. That might solve your water problem.

My fridge is leaking from the bottom or the back i dont know which yet. but i see water on the right back corner on the floor. any idea what this could be

I guess, I need to know if its the floor of the refrigerator, or kitchen floor? if floor of refrigerator. Its most likely a drain issue..The defrost system melts the ice and that water flows into a drain. these become clogged from food particles and stop up. The water then travels the path of least resistence and ends up down inside refrigerator. The solution is to open up drain and usually all is well..

Now, if its just on the floor. we have to check all the obvious. it still could be the drain and water could be running out from under crispers onto the floor. So, check that first...if not, check the connections at icemaker valve (if you have one) again, check water line if you have one....make sure the drain hose is in the drain pan...sometimes the drain pan sits above the compressor and heat evaporates the water...these pans get a hole in them I hope this helps..let me know if you need any clarifications....Bruce

Removed inside rear and floor panels of freezer (ice machine also) as ably advised by your tech. Found ice damming he suspected underneath floor panel. Thawed overnight with pot of hot water in freezer. could see that small rear drain tube was iced shut; why all water going into fridge below. Avoided floor mess from thawing water flow to evaporation pan on floor by tilting unit forward on blocks and laying several old towels inside freezer door to catch water that would run out. Also placed some in front at base of unit on kitchen floor. Continuing to thaw pipe to unclog, it is iced some way down, again as tech said it might. Will reassemble and be careful with freezer setting, in case it may have been too cold. Also, some food crumbs had found their way behind panel near this drain tube and may have fallen in to block it. Will clean out any remaining.

you have a clogged defrost drain
get out all the ice
take off the back panal
and clear the drain pull the unit out and take off the machine compt panal
look under you will see the defrost tube drain
make sure this is draining properly
once you do that take a flat head screwdriver in make the whole in the tin heat reflector more round
what happens is a thin sheet of water covers that hole and eventualuy builds up...
go back to the back, and ensure the drain is clear i usually take it off and runn water through it
some times ive found a small screw in it from assembly
barring all that
make sure the fill tube from the ice machine is properly installed
but i would tend to think its more of a drain situation

We were able to fix the freezer water leak. We unscrewed the false freezer floor and the inside back panel. Ice had accumulated on the freezer floor and the defrosting drain was frozen. We removed the ice by using a blow dryer then poured boiling hot water onto the frozen drain hole. The frozen water in the drain pipe hole eventually melted and the water released into the defrosting drip pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. Problem solved. We no longer have water leaking into the refrigerator.

Ice and water on bottom of freezer

sjlobo, sounds like your defrost drain pan is frozen over or has some gunk in it. When the unit goes into defrost the water is running onto the freezer floor and out the front. Remove the lower bin and check the drain hole. You may have to remove the freezer back panel. If you can, just use some very hot water and some sort of baster to unfreeze the drain. Check this first, back.
