I transferred about 35 pics to a mac and deleted them out of the camera. However, camera still says the 35 pics are there and I have only space for three more pictures. When I try to delete them, the camera says there is nothing to delete. If I take a new picture it shows up and I can delete that, but I can't get my memory space back. Frustrating. Any ideas?

With a card reader, you can move all the photos from your digital camera to computer. After that, you can take advantage of iTunes to transfer photos to your iPad. This should be easy, but please note that the RAW files takes much more storage space than the JPEG files, so you'd better take a look at your storage space of your iPad before you import photos from camera to iPad.
After importing photos from camera to iPad, you can view them with the Photos app on your iPad. The RAW files can also be read on your tablet, and supported RAW files are exactly the same as your Mac computer does. http://www.leawo.org/tutorial/how-to-transfer-photos-from-camera-to-ipad.html
You didn't actually transfer the pix, you created shortcuts to them. You'll have to have the camera attached to the Mac to delete the shortcuts. Then, move the files from the camera to the computer. That will clear the card, and insure you've actually got the files on the computer, not just shortcuts.
the question I ask is why would you want to do this?
The camera has XX Mb of memory in case the card becomes full. Generally one downloads the pics on to a PC and deletes the Camera files to start again
If you want to keep the pic files in memory and save them tpo your pc. remove the card for safety.. Interrogate your camera via the connection cord and the software it came with. Download the folder with the pics in memory to your PC. Then delete the files on the camera. Insert the SD card and In menu, set up to save files to SD card rather than memory while there is space.
You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted. When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead. you can then download a file recovery program and use the program to scan the memory card and then recover lost pics http://filerecoveryblog.blogspot.sg/2011/09/how-to-recover-deleted-photos-from.html
You can connect your camera to your PC or laptop. then transfer all your pics to anyone of it. After that you can delete all the pics from the camera memory card. hence providing you with a full 1GB free space to click as many pics you want to.

You should have a pic review when the canera is powered on. Some cameras have a review only power switch that allows the screen to view pic s but not turn on the camera. there should be a delete button that once you are reviewing your photos you can delet one at a time or it will say "delete all" click delete all and enter to delete all. if you can find no review or delete buttons they will be in the main menu. Good luck!!
You can delete pictures from the camera. You can transfer the pics to your computer, then delete. Plug you camera into your computer, click start/computer/ double click on the drive that accesses your camera. From here, you can drag/drop pics or delete them or format the entire memory stick. If you need all of the pics and do not have a computer, you will need to purchase another memory stick.
is it internal memory or a memory card?
first thing is to transfer pics to a computer
then delete the one you want
usually you can delete them from the camera by selecting them one at a time and deleting them
but it is nuch easier to just transfer them to a computer then deleting the whole memory card
