My sidekick "gecko" is not working properly. The trackball is not responding but selects things on its own.

More than likely, the trackball on your Sidekick 2008 (gekko) is really dirty.Overtime, dirt and grime gets in between the ball and the sensors.

It is really easy to clean it, you will need q-tips and IPA alcohol. No dis assembly is usually needed!
