Question about HP DeskJet 895cse InkJet Printer

Deskjet 895Cse is "sucking" paper in and stalling

My deskjet developed, in the middle of printing 4 one page documents, a new quirk: It will "suck" the 81/2 X 11 sheet to print it and then stall. This is a new noise -- similar to the one it makes when it is feeding an envelope to print. The noise is coincident with the printer then stalling, all lights coming on and I have to turn off the printer to release the page. When powered up, the printer prints one to two pages of UPC symbols/wingdings, etc... This happens with every software and/or printing from the web. However, printing test pages, or using the "resume" button on the printer to print a test page produces a satisfactory result. As mentioned, I was printing the 4th or 4 one page documents when this began -- the first three printed fine. Help?!

Sounds like the printer is getting a bad command from the driver. Try upgrading your driver. Also it may be a bad document. Copy and Paster your text into a new document to see if it clears the corruption.

Although my document is set up for legal size when I print it only prints to the end of the letter size (on the legal size paper).

Try adjusting your paper try or you might just be low on your toner. How long have you had this printer and what kind is it?

Fixed a paper jam, printer started to print one line

When the printer jamed and you had to pull out the jam, the data being tranfered for that job got out of sequence. On Deskjets when that happens, you need to go to the print spooler and delete the job it is printing or you will have the same problem evertime.

Envelope printing

I don't think there is one. You simply replace your paper with envelopes and configure your software accordingly. They would go in flap up if I'm not mistaken.
