Itunes will not burn cd - Satellite Toshiba Computers & Internet

If possible, use a second CD player/burner to burn a CD. If can't borrow one, either internal or external (USB), they are fairly cheap second hand. I suspect your CD player has become defective, maybe only in burn mode. Can you burn anything (eg, software) using this item ? ie is it only iTunes that's affected ?

Hi. You can't copy any thing bought from the iTunes store.

Maybe iTunes don't want your burning their music. I'm not sure cuz I don't use Itunes, but if it works on others that sounds like it might be the problem.

Symptoms Find out what to do if you can't burn an audio CD using iTunes for Windows. Sometimes an audio disc may not burn as expected. Here are some things to check.
Resolution Update iTunes Download and install the latest version of iTunes for Windows.
Songs not authorized iTunes will stop burning a disc if one or more of the songs in a playlist were purchased from the iTunes Store but are not authorized to play on this computer. This message appears:

"Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist? For more information on why some files can not be burned, click below".

That is probably because the cd is already used or somebody canceled the process of burning the cd, also once you have started a burning process with the cd you can not use the cd over again so basically you need a blank cd make sure you check to see if the cd is blank before trying to burn the cd.

Download and install Apple's iTunes software.
Load your music into iTunes.
Create a "new playlist" within iTunes.
Drag-and-drop your favourite songs into that playlist.
Click to "burn audio CD".
Done.

if you are using itunes and you have a cd burner on the laptop...you just pick approx 10-15 tracks from itunes (it also depends on how big the mp3/4 tracks are) place your correct (cd +/-, 16x or 8x) type of blank cd in laptop and burn ...

Try downloading a new CD burner. Itunes is limited in its capabilities and this freeware one may be better. Click here to download.

you already have other cd / dvd burner software on pc / laptop...use it...(can i suggest a better software than itunes for burning..unless you have this already..nero, ashampoo and / or burn4free cd / dvd)...nero has much more to place on the menu of dvd...cd (u can get creative)....this way your new version of itunes will just keep your ipod up to date (no more regs problems)
