Campbell Hausfeld fp209592 air compressor worked fine last year. Now it won't even come on when plugged in. It hasn't been used in just about a year and was only used for a couple of hours last November.

SOURCE: campbell hausfeld air compressor will not start

It should have a reset button. Try that. Out of curiosity, is the compressor near where you paint? If so, paint may have accumulated on the switch contacts. Remove the cover and check them out.

Campbell Hausfeld 13 gal air copressor, when I trun it on it won't build up max pressure and won't shut-off One of the gauges reads 40 PSI the other reads 60 PSI.

Your problem is most likely because of damage to the valve plate or piston & cylinder. If one or both of these are not working properly you'll get partial pressure and the unit won't turn off because the tank never comes up to full pressure. Things to check for are damage to the reeds on the valve plate, they could be bent from overheating or broken from use or wear or damage to the piston seal which can cause damage to the cylinder. If any of these aren't sealing properly the air pressure will come up to a point where the air leaks out faster than it goes into the tank. Without your particular model number I don't know which parts to recommend but if you contact Campbell Hausfeld they'll help you get the right parts.

I have a Campbell Hausfeld oil type direct drive 7 gallon compressor. It often works fine but it frequently locks up until the internal circuit breaker cuts off the electricity to the motor. When the...

In our shop we have found the conditions you describe are almost always attributable to the power supply. First, never run a compressor on an extension cord, you are always better off running longer air lines. If you absolutely have to run an extension cord use a least a 12 guage cord no longer than 25 feet. If possible plug the compressor in as close to the circuit box as possible. Lastly the circuit the compressor is plugged into should be rated at least 15 amps, 20 amps is recommended for most compressors. Low amp lines cause the motor to overheat trying to get enough power and usually blow the circuit breaker at the motor and not at the circuit breaker. Lastly, use only compressor oil in the pump and make sure it's not overfull. This will also cause the motor to work harder and trip the circuit breaker.

Air Compressor WL611800 not working!!!

does the pump even attempt to run? or does it just hum when you try to turn it on? If it just hums either the pump is locked up or the motor start switch or capacitor is faulty.
