Question about Whirlpool Dryers
Dryer will not start I will ry a load then dryer will not turn on for 2 or more days
Sounds like a faulty thermal switch. most dryers have at least two. one is a hi-temp sensor that just goes out--no more drying until you replace the sensor. The other resets after it cools--but TWO days??. Funny thing , I think I had a similar problem a while ago. I think I replaced both sensors.
Maybe there is lint in the exhaust line. I'd clean that really well, and make sure it doesn't get bent or pinched in such a way as to restrict the flow. If that does not work, replacing the sensors is not too hard or expensive. If that's done and the problem persists, you are going to have to call the manufacturer. Heck, do that first--maybe that will get you a better answer.
