How to get 3g tmobile internet with unlocked iphone

1.Turn on your local Wifi either home or how so its temporaily disabled the 'E' Edge connection provided by your carrier provider
2.After the Wifi is connected
3.Open safari browser on your iphone
4.Type in the address bar www.iphonenodata.com
5.Scroll down to the end until you see a Disable EDGE/3G
6.Click on Disable EDGE/3G
7.You'll see a popup asking you to install a Profile
8.Install the profile and after the installation is done
9.Restart the iphone
10.Turn off the Wifi
11.Wait for 'E' to appear on the statusbar (Edge)
12.Try surfing the internet
13.If you get an error saying "Could not activate cellular data network"
14.You have successfully disabled the edge it will longer take your money if the phone is idle

iPhone setting:*
- Auto-Lock: 1 Minute;*
- Passcode Lock: On, require passcode immediately, after 15 min or 4 hours etc;*
- Network: Turn 3G Off

Scenario 1: Home screen is active with screen on*
1. Press power button for seconds until asked to '"slide to power off"
2. Slide to power off
3. press power button to turn on iPhone
4.*When asked to enter passcode, touch the "Cancel" key, then slide to unlock
5. bypassed passcode

Scenario 2:*
1. On the screen of being asked to enter passcode, press power button for seconds until asked to '"slide to power off"
2.*Slide to power off
3. press power button to turn on iPhone
4.*When asked to enter passcode, DO NOT touch any key on the screen, press power button for seconds until asked to '"slide to power off"
5. Slide to power off
6. press power button to turn on iPhone
7.*When asked to enter passcode, touch the "Cancel" key on the right bottom corner, then slide to unlock
8. bypassed passcode

Notes:
1. When Network setting changes to Enable 3G: ON, "3G" signal shows up, passcode CANNOT be passed through
Go to a underground parking lot or a lift where 3G signal is weak, when 3G signal switches to "E" (Edge), passcode CAN be passed through following above steps
2. When no 3G or Edge signal, above steps don't work

Seems passcode security is related to network status
Possible security hole under Edge

$9.99 for Edge internet
$24.99 for 3G internet

Unlocking does not effect syncing make sure you have most recent itunes. make sure you don't manually mange music if you want phone to sync. when phone plugged in click on phone to see settings make sure sync music is checked

Y would u want to connect to a Virtual Private Network? If u dnt kno the account name and server i dnt think you need a vpn as these are usually used for private business's . But i think you might need to set up cellular data network instead. If your on a 3g data network then u'll need tmobile to reset it for ya bcuz the cellular data network is only available ounce ur using edge. The 3g network is supposed to automatically configure the right settings for ya. 

go to intotheiphone.com and run the program after restoring your iphone in itunes, bc your phone has an earlier unlock on it.
That should clear it up right away.

i fixed it

Access to edge or other data services depend on the isp, not the cell phone manufacturer. For example, if you unlocked your phone and put a tmobile sim in it, you would have to get data settings from tmobile to be able to get the internet. You need to talk to the tech support people. And of course you can use the wifi on the apple phone for internet access.
