Testimonial: "I know something is defective on it. Im just trying to pin point the problem so I can fix it. I'm not like most and throw something out because it stops working. people would be surprised how easy most repairs can be and at a fraction of the cost to replace it. Of course u should always weigh ur options."

How can i repair bad sectors of dvd?

Generally bad sectors on a disk are caused by scratches so try a scratch repair kit. If it's the drive itself, it may need repair

How to fix the CD/DVD Player which skips back and forwards during playing track3?

it may not be your cd or dvd player, it may be that you have a defective disc or scratched so try taking a damp paper towel and wiping it off real good and then take another one and dry it and then try playing it again and if that don't work then it could be something within the player itself. I hope that this may be of some help to you, good luck,

I got a new Samsung DVD player (1080) and when I put on brand new discs in it, it just kept whirring inside, but nothing came up on the screen ! I have it connected via HDMI cable to a Samsung LCD TV, so...

If a new DVD player ur tv dose recgonises the DVD disc and not reading the DVD disc,it might be dirty or scratches and cracks on the DVD disc itself.Tries It with other DVD discs,if have the same problems, than it is the DVD player itself, newly bought, yes return it get another one.

My rca truflat comes on for about 3 seconds with picture only through the middle a small line and I do have sound and then shuts itself off. This has happened before once and I pushed a bunch of buttons on...

Hello Cera if the line is right in the middle of the screen going form left to right than the problem that your tv set is having is coming from the vertical deflection circuit with either a bad component in that circuit or bad soldering on the pc board itself, to tell if it is bad soldering on the pc board it self in that circuit tap the tv set on the side if the picture comes up then you have bad soldering on the vertical deflection circuit if not than there is a bad component in that circuit which is giving you this problem and more than likely the component would have to be replaced, like the vertical deflection IC are known for this, what i would suggest is call a near by tv repair shop and get a repair quote on your tv set if it is more than 300 dollars than i would recommend for you to get yourself a new tv set thank you hope this helps.

I have a DVP-NS700,does same thing, but with copies.I just think they are more sensitive to bad discs,old/copies.I dont think there is anything actually wrong with it.

It could be a bad cable between your vcr and the TV. See if you can use another cable.

yes it could ba the cable itself even, but i suspect more the tuner circuit or tuner itself may have bad solder connections. Here is another test for you to try, plug another dvd or vcr, or xbox etc. into the back, using one odf the inputs. See if this works like the built in dvd. if so it will be more likely bad connections in the tuner or surrounding circuit. good luck.
