SOURCE: splice Bose speaker to connect to receiver

Each speaker has two 4 Ohm drivers. Each speaker has a connector with 4 pins. From left to right they are + - - +. Say 1 2 3 4 . If you want a 8 Ohm speaker connect 2 and 4 together. Now 1 goes to your amplifier (+) and 3 to your amplifier (-). In yor case join black with blue. Now red goes to the amplifier red and green to the amplifier black.

I just bought a DEH2400UB car stereo to replace factory stereo in a 2001 PT Cruiser. I went to Best Buy and got the wire harness kit. Wire colors are not mactching up and I need help connecting to the...

If you bought a Pioneer receiver, you should know what its connections are. Adapter harnesses sometimes do not have the same color wires, BUT the connections are correct. In the 2001 PT Cruiser, the LF speaker wires are DK GRN (+) and RED/BRN (-). The RF speaker wires are VIO/DK GRN (+) and DK BLU/RED (-). The LR speaker wires are BRN/YEL (+) and BRN/LT BLU (-). The RR speaker wires are DK BLU/WHT (+) and DK BLU/BLK (-). A RED/WHT wire supplies power to the radio when the ignition is on and a PNK wire is a fused B+ input which is always hot. An ORG wire provides panel illunination and a BLK/YEL wire from the headlamp switch prevents the panell illumination from turning on unless the parking and/or headlamps are on

I cant remember how to hook up the speakers to the system

Speakers use a cable that consist of 2 insulated wires. The two wires are identified by one or more ways: 1) one wire may be golden colored and the other white or silver colored, 2) the insulation on one of the wires may have a raised ridge, or 3) the insulation on one wire may have some marking along the surface where the other will not

The terminals on speakers and terminals for the speakers on the amplifier will both have a (-) and (+) symbol for each cable (one for each wire). I like to assign the (+) terminal to the golden colored wire or the insulation with the rib or marking on it, and the (-) terminal to the white or silver colored wire or on the smooth or unmarked insulation. It does not matter which wire you assign to which terminal - as long as the (+) and (-) terminals of the speaker connects to the (+) and (-) terminals on the speakers of the amplifier (you should see to it that they do not get crossed so that the (+) of the speaker is connected to (-) terminal for the speakers on the amplifier).

Connect each speaker location to the corresponding speaker terminal on the amplifier (the front right speaker to connect to the front right speaker terminals on the amplifier - continue until all speakers are connected). Failure to connect correctly will make fading front to back and balance left and right work unexpectedly.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

When I hook up the rear speakers to my in-wall speakers, I can't get any sound. I have speaker button 1 and 2 selected.

Hi:
you need to clear that you connect wall speakers for font, center or rear (surround) speakers?
Seem you connect for Front speaker.
Rear (surround) speaker will have "rear" mark on the back of your reveiver.
In general you need to select both buttons 1 & 2 then check your speaker wires connect into "output1" or "output 2" hint: each output will have 1 for left and 1 for right speaker. Each Left or right speaker will have 2 connection 1 red color (+) and 1 white color (-). Try to match these colors code for your speakers connection.

look at your speaker wire there should be some marking the distinguishes each wire. You need to get this right make sure the negative or black color from the speaker is connected to a negative or black of the receiver. ditto for the positive (red). look on the back of the receiver you should see where the speakers get connected left, right.

How to do Bi wiring in 6.1

Remove the bridging links from the speaker terminals and run two equal lengths of speaker wire from the amp to the speaker. At the amp - speaker terminal, twist two of the same wires together. ( normally marked with a tracer color) Connect these into your left speaker output - terminal and tighten. Connect the two wires to both the negative terminals on the speaker. Repeat the same for the + side. Make sure wires are not shorting across the terminals.

I bought the LG LHT854 and i dont know how to connectthe speakers because i dont know which ones are the front speakers and rear speakers, all 4 speakers are the same and i dont know how wich is wich..

All four of the small speakers are identical, the original speaker wires are color coded. the very ends are all black and red, corresponding to the black and red connections on the back of the receiver and on the speaker, and there is another color band lower on the wire, which corresponds to the color on the receiver speaker connectors that details front right, front left, rear right, rear left, center, subwoofer.

If you are using standard speaker wire, it has two colors. Pick one for the red, and one for the black.
Just be consistent and connect all speakers the same at both ends (Copper color to plus-red / silver color to minus-black)
