SOURCE: Player Rejects Disc
What is hire dvds? dvd players use a lazer and lenses to focus on the disk information sometimes they have problems reading the disk for many reasons. Somtimes they can be damaged by movement or transporting them from a friends bouncing in a car or dust or prints on the disk even scratches. If you know the disks are clean and scratch free then you can try using a can of air blow it into any vents in the top or into the slot when the tray is out blow into the slot. Another thing could be heat, is the machine welll ventelated? its not under a pile of blankets or at the bottom of a rack where it cant keep cool? one more thing is to powercycle the unit. Unplug it for a few days then plug it in fresh and try the disks again. Electronics are small computers and somtimes they need a reboot. Electronics can use lots of power and it can spike the electricity in the home causing voltage drops these drops can glitch the computer inside so it doesnt work right. Remove the unit from where it is. Let it sit a few days unplugged from the power. blow it out with some can air then hook it back up with some good ventelation and see how it works.

Now what this joker isn't telling you is that the 'hack' below actually resets the player to factory defaults. It just worked for me perfectly.
Now you might have to go back into setup and readjust some of your settings. (i.e. freq response)
1. press SETUP on the remote
2. Go to "TV Aspect" and move the cursor to "16:9"
3. Press in order: 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9 on the remote, then press ENTER
