Question about Canon imageCLASS D760 All-In-One Laser Printer
Which fan? There usually is one for the Fuser and one for the power supply. As for disassembly, you really need the Service Manual to take it apart correctly.

the e805 means that you have bad fan. The fan is located under back cover.
There are two possibilites:
1) Reconnect the fans connector, and connectors on dc controller - main pcb. If that doesnt help, on electronics hardware store or in computer shop find the fan of same dimensions and replace it.
2) the dc controller is bad, and you need to replace it with new one.

A E805 is a exhust fan error code. That means that a fan is not working correctly. I believe you may have one of the fans is blocked or a wire is broken. It is either the fan in the cover of the primary charge unit, there is a connector that may have been caught by the fuser unit. It may also, be the sucktion fan in the transfer unit
