The fault cods EDC 03779,03778 have overlapping causes consist leakage of injectors,valve ,pipe but in some time malfunction in the high pressure pump , any one agree with me or there is any addition causes.

EDC is for electronic diesel control , which i expect you knew , so i would get the OBD codes read to pinpoint the sensor/switch causing the issue , can't be more exact as you faile to mention vehicle make etc

The fault cods EDC 03779,03778 have overlapping causes consist leakage of injectors,valve ,pipe but in some time malfunction in the high pressure pump , any one agree with me or there is any addition causes. some people have solve the problem with changing the fuel filter.

I have a problem with my Man Truck TGA 33.360, Its showing alot of error codes on dashboard EDC 00959-01, EDC 00960-01, EDC 00961-01, EDC 00962-01. What could be the problem?


I have an answer for you.The codes are coming from a lost Tachometer memory.Yoour Edc Control Unit and teh Tachometer are not correctly aligned.You need to have th Tachometer reprogrammed.It has lost memory



1.EDC:00959-01 >seconds-Action-Tachometer has lost memory and is not aligning with the Edc Control unit. mixture of time and date>Tachometer to be reprogrammed.

2. EDC:00960-01>minutes- Action-Tachometer has lost memory and is not aligning with the Edc Control unit. mixture of time and date>Tachometer to be reprogrammed.

3. EDC:00961-01>hour- Action-Tachometer has lost memory and is not aligning with the Edc Control unit. mixture of time and date>Tachometer to be reprogrammed.



4. EDC:00962-01>Day- Action-Tachometer has lost memory and is not aligning with the Edc Control unit. mixture of time and date>Tachometer to be reprogrammed.



5. EDC:00963-01>Month- Action-Tachometer has lost memory and is not aligning with the Edc Control unit. mixture of time and date>Tachometer to be reprogrammed.
