Check that the language setting is correct for the keyboard. Go to Control panel, then Region and language, then select Keyboards and Languages. Select the correct keyboard.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

How to type backslash key?

on a standard keyboard should be key under backspace key

1 Answer

Backslash key

On most standard English keyboards the backslash key is located above the "Enter" or "Return" key. If your keyboard has been damaged, you can still copy and paste a backslash symbol that someone else has typed.

How do I access the question mark

All you have to do is hold the SHIFT key down and then press the BACKSLASH (/) key. This should allow you to access your question mark character.

Here is a link to an image of an ACER Keyboard:

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated.

You can see the QUESTION MARK / BACKSLASH key near the lower right hand corner of the keyboard in that image.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

I cannot get backslash on logiboard keyboard

1) With your NUMLOCK on, hold the ALT key down and type 092 on your numeric keypad.  When you have NUMLOCK on, ALT and a 3-figure digit gives you special characters.  092 is the backslash on UK and Spanish keyboards, so hopefully it'll work for you.  If you get something different, you'll have to try different numbers until you find it

or

2) In Start --> Programs --> Accessories there's a program called Character Map.  This gives you a list of available characters

or

3) copy and paste this one:  \

For a workaround for time being you can use the OSK (on screen keyboard to get a backslash) which can be accessed by pressing the Windows key and the letter "U", or you can go to start > Run and type "osk". Meanwhile I will try to get a proper resolution for this issue. Wait for my reply.
