Question about Sony HDRCX150 Camcorder
There is a very thin ribbon cable that connects the camera to the flip out display. It is very likely that this cable has developed a crack . This is a very common problem with all video cameras with flip out displays. If your display is a touchscreen it's even possible the "touch" operation still works but you just don't get a display image. You could probably find a replacement cable but, unless you are very mechanically inclined, it would still end up on eBay for parts. Sorry that's not really a solution, just an educated opinion.

I had a display problem on a Canon XM1 removd four screws on the flip out screen,took off LCD rear cover and found loose cable,pushed it back in and it now works.In other words it might be loose and not cracked.
