My bobbin will not load after my needle broke.

More than likely, when the needle broke, it knocked your machine out of time, ie the needle arrives at the bobbin at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Normal tension for kenmore model 158.12112?

Remove the thread from your machine. Install a brand new needle.

Rethread the machine from the beginning being sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the upper thread. Make sure the thread path is correct and that the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly. Set the upper tension to the midway point--the factory standard, but every machine will probably require some tweaking.

If, after testing your machine, stitches are still not being formed, it is quite possible the machine is out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

I have brother xl2620 changed thread and now won't pick up thread from bobbin. Have cleaned everything still won't work

Try a brand new needle. Check that the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly. Change the type of thread you are using--Avoid old or bargain bin variety. If these recommendations don't help, the machine may need its timing fixed. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Problem with singer 590c. Thread bunches up & breaks or the bobbin thread wont sew. 1 time happened to get everything right & it sewed beautifully.Today I cant get it to pick up the bobbin thread.

Make sure to use a brand new needle.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading.
Unthread and re-thread from the beginning.
Verify the thread path is correct.
Set the upper tension to midway between High & Low numbers.
Verify the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly in the bobbin case.
Begin sewing slowly and check the result. The upper tension can be tweaked so the upper & bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

If it is still not working properly, the machine may be out of time and require service.

Embroidery machine bobbin not picking up thread

If you thread is coming out all tangled continue.
I Had this problem and found I had missed one leg of the threading.
I had an experienced seamstress look at our portable and could not get bobbin working. I took thread and redid it ,seems I had missed leg that went down.
she did to now all is well.

WHY??!! *Check if thread is entangled. Check if needle is bent. So far as I can tell everything is fine, used new bobbin, new needle, still getting error. How do I know if the motor has become locked

Time to take it in and have the repair tech service & clean upper tension assembly. When you clip/ change threads be sure not to pull the thread back out of tension assembly. Snip thread at spool, raise foot to release tension and then pull the short thread out from the needle. The Automatic tension is very delicate and pulling thread out backwards can cause thread/lint build up and problems like your having. Sal the Sewing Gal

I was sewing with elna machine and ran out of thread. This caused the thread to ball up underneath and "jam" the machine. I cleared it out and rethreaded it, but now the top thread doesn't catch the bobbin...

it is possible that the sewing machine has a timing problem, but check to see if the needle is inserted correctly into the needle holder
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case if the machine has a top loading bobbin
if the machine has a side or front loading bobbin also make sure the bobbin case is inserted correctly into the machine.
and also make sure the top thread has not come off the thread take up lever

Lower bobbin thread tangling

You need to adjust the tention on you thread bobbin and on the needle....also, check to see if the needle is touching the plate or the foot.

I have had this problems too. Most of the time it is just a simple adjustment and cleaning.

Good Luck
