the shock may have broke or came loose or the spring broke and fell out, take a look at the springseats at the top and bottom to make sure they are not rusted or broken then look at the shock if nothing is broken or missing bolts then the spring just broke and fell out,
Here's the solution. The spring controls the beater eject button. The spring is mounted on the metal shaft and is oriented so that the straight side of the spring rests along the white plastic part adjacent to the shaft, and the curved side of the spring points outward and downward so that it will rest against the case when the unit is reassembled. See photo.
Make sure the clippers are running.
Make sure the hinge (the bit you put the blade on) is open, if it is not, prize it open with a flat head screwdriver.
With the hinge open and facing you, slide the blade on the hinge with the blade number/size facing you. Snap the hinge shut. www.sheareaseltd.com
I have sunbeam model AGW toaster level is not staying down and no power. the spring work, i want to know what part hold it down. please help or there any repair company i can take it (s. california) thanks
In taking apart my same beater, I'm trying to figure out the alignment of the spring which provides the tension so that the beaters won't fall out. I'd assume that your spring has mis-aligned. You need to take it apart (3 Philips screws), and carefully pull the assembly apart. I'll bet your spring falls out like mine did. I'm trying to find a schematic from Sunbeam to see how the spring should align.
