SOURCE: My whirlpool Refrigerator motor keeps running

Keep an eye on the running time and temparture of the refrigerator. It will need time to return to normal cooling temps since the defrost and hot temps inside will take maybe a few more hours to reach normal. If not, get back with me and I will go through a step by step process on eliminations,  If so I will need age of fridge, Make and Models Numbers, Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Refrigerator Door not closing properly

Hi, No the door is not adjustable like you might think Since it is smaller than the other door any alignment problem is really visible. First do check the bracket to make sure you didn't lose a screw and that the brackets are solid and don't move. The problem is the level of either the refrigerator or the floor. If you have a 3 ft bubble level put in on the top of the refrigerator along the front, NOT on the door. There are feet on the bottom front corners of the refrigerator, you may have to remove the plastic grill to access them but depending on the model and age of your refrigerator it should be attached with clips. The feet screw in and out but with weight they won't move easily so you may have to jack the front a little, remove some stuff or try a crescent wrench. Once the front is level check the front to back, the refrigerator needs to tilt slightly to the rear so the door when partially open will close by itself. Again you didn't give a model so on some the rear feet are not adjustable and some are. I suspect you may have adjustable and the box is not squared up. If after adjusting the front and the entire refrigerator tilts like an uneven table leg then you have to adjust the feet likewise. Use your level diagonally across the top both directions, it should be exactly the same. If you have non adjustable and they are uneven it is the floor and you have to use shims under the low foot. Good Luck!

SOURCE: sub-zero 500 series refrigerator door wont stay closed

If Your Refrigerator's Freezer Door Pops Open When You Close the Fresh Food Door... If a 'top-freezer' refrigerator's freezer door pops open when the larger fresh food door's closed, it's actually a good thing. That tells us the seals are in great shape, sealing well.
Some freezer door 'pop' is unavoidable bc the bottom door's so much larger than the top one and the hydraulic effect of compressing all that air kicks in. The two compartments share the same air via a duct between them, and that compressed air rushes up into the freezer compartment and can 'pop' the door.
To improve the situation, apply a few drops of oil (sewing machine oil or 'three in one' - NOT WD-40) to each freezer door hinge pin. (Even better: if you can, pull the doors and coat the hinge pins with petroleum jelly). This will help the freezer door swing back closed by itself. The freezer door usually stays ajar because it's binding a bit, and that's usually caused by it's swinging 'dry', with no lubrication.
It’s also a good idea to ‘kick’ the habit of letting the refrig door close hard.

SOURCE: Beeping from refrigerator about once a minute.

If this is listed under the right model, then the only thing it could be is some models have a
door alarm, that will beep if the door is not closed. You could check and clean the gasket.
Or it the switch that tells the fridg that the door is closed. Check if there is a top door adjustment to bring the door closer to the fridge where the door hinge is. This might apply or push on the switch more.

Need gaskets for CSX20E Hotpoint side by side

Seals don't lose their magnetism. Check the door closes all the way round and adjust the hinges if it doesn't sit straight. Check there isn't a relief valve frozen up or blocked (it allows air to escape when the doors are closed). Check the drawers are fully pushed back in and not stopping the door closing properly

Side by side kenmore refrigerator no suction on produce side

There is no suction normally. The door has a spring type mechanism to keep it firmly closed, and the magnetic seal takes up the slack. Check the door/ hinge is straight and tight and look at the top of the hinge. There is a small cylinder about 5mm high with a number of dimples in it. One of these should have a pin in it that operates the spring mechanism; if it is missing the door will not close well.

Also make sure there is nothing in the fridge protruding, stopping the door from closing and the seal sticking!

My freezer is very cold but not freezing water into ice. The door was only partially closed because a towel was in the way but after fixing that it has been 6 hours and it's still not freezing. The...

That really cause the freezer not to freeze water because of that towel. Since you already remove the obstruction, just observe it and it will gonna freeze the water. Be sure that the door gasket magnet has tightly closed freezer door and no cold air is going outside. If there is, again it will takes longer to freeze water into ice.
Just observe and it will gonna go back to normal operation.
Good luck to you.

The Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator, model ED2KVEXVQ01 occassionally leaks water onto the floor. There could be a cup or more of water, but the problem has occurred a few times, but may go weeks or...

sometimes we overload our refrigerators and the doors will not close properly, next time you notice the water see if your doors are closed tightly and the seals engaged tightly. My wife has this habit of not checking after she has put away the remains of a big dinner or BBQ and I find drips of condensate water all over the floor as a result. The defrost collection pan overfills and the excess water goes on the floor. once the doors are closed properly the problem goes away.

Why does the door stick if opened, closed and reopened

Hi, what I think your referring to is "suction". If you open the door and then close it when finished but then you decide you want to open it again and it is really tight or "seems" stuck, that is normal and I'll explain why. It's all related to the second law of thermodynamics which states "hot will always migrate to cold" or at least that's the jist of it, we'll keep it light for this lesson, and NO there won't be a test tomorrow lol. What takes place when the door is opened is this. The warmer ambient air which is at room temperature rushes into the fridge, (actually migrating to the freezer/evaporator) and pushes all the cool air out. When the door is then closed a vacuum or suction if you prefer is created via the warm air in the unit being "pulled" to the freezer. This action usually only last's several second's, hence the door will open easy again shortly there-after. Sometimes if you listen closely you can actually hear a slight whistle or whoosh sound from this action occuring, it's actually pretty COOL...pun intended lol. Hope that help's, let me know please. I should also add if the door is just simply opening when at rest or when it shouldn't, check the seal and magnet around the door perimeter. The magnet is just there to insure a good seal,(contrary to some believing it should "pull" the door closed...nope. I mean it will to a small degree, but it just help's keep it closed and insure it seals) but should be in contact with the cabinet perimeter around each section. Good luck. macmarkus :)

Whirlpool side by side refrigerator door not closing by itself. Ideas?

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.
