SOURCE: CMOS Battery
you want to be looking for the rtc(real time clock) which is a little unit not much bigger than ur thumb nail.next to it youll find the battery(sometimes heat sealed with plastic.)if you remove this battery for about 5 mins then replace it or in ur case maybe renew it this will reset bios to factory(also method for bypass passwords as every thing is reset)

it is actually a sony pcg-u3???
if you press F8 and go into safe mode and then do a disk repair this will solve the problem for you,
also if you have got a cd drive then mount the winxp image to a memory stick duo and use disk repair from that...

I need you to try a few things.First remove the battery, memory no power whatsoever.Press and hold the power button for twenty seconds.Replace the memory then the ac cord and try again.Remove the power only this time and press and hold the power button again. Now replace the battery and the power adapter.Power up and you should work if not you will need to replace the motherboard.
