If it is windows 98 you will have to have the latest service pack for it windows se I think I haven't used it for years but from what I can remember some of the versions of 98 won't let you install various cards.

you should contact your internet provider for professional advice. it's most likely free and faster than asking nerds on the internet who doesn't know anything about your specific router-model ;)

You can't really use a router to connect to another router, you can sometimes use them as an "Extender" for range, but not as a WiFi card, they simply aren't made to operate that way.

The wlan light doesn't flash and i cant connect to 192.168.1.253 which is the site of my modem!! the light flash sometimes but just 1 second and turn off again and in my pc show disconected from ethernet...
Please check the IP address of modem and wireless accesspoint.
