Troubleshooting the Iomega 35538 EZ Media Back Center 1TB NAS, need manual

Lenovo purchased the IOMEGA line and has some of their documentation here: https://lenovo-na-en.custhelp.com/app/home/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDQyNDQ5NDYyL3NpZC9ZaEVlOUZ3bQ%3D%3D . Scroll down to the section on the EZ Media products. The direct link is https://lenovo-na-en.custhelp.com/app/cust_alp/p/1031,1150/c/1066 . Look on the right hand side of the page for the User's Manual links. This link is https://lenovo-na-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26380#ezmedia . The only User's Guide you need depends on which version of the Lifeline is on your NAS. The direct link to the English version of the manual for Lifeline 4.1 is http://download.lenovo.com/nasupdate/manuals/ezmedia/ezmedia-4.1-en.pdf . The software downloads for Windows 7 are available here: https://lenovo-na-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/p/1031,1150/c/1066/answer_type/172 .

I hope this helps.

Iomega mdhd 360 n

The following may help:

You can either use the management software: Iomega Discovery Tool Home : Read First
or
Instructions to Direct Connect to NAS:
Unplug the NAS from the router
Unplug the pc from the router (if the pc is wireless, disable wireless)
Using Ethernet Cable, plug the NAS directly into the pc with no other devices attached.
Restart the NAS and wait for it to boot COMPLETELY 100%
The NAS will request an address from the PC which will be an APIPA address (this is a 169. address)
Open up your Start Menu and type in CMD in the search bar and select the CMD program.
Type in "arp -a" in the cmd prompt
The first time you use the arp -a in a cmd prompt, it gives you the 169.x.x.x address of "The PC"
You may have to arp -a twice to get the NAS address.
The second time you use the arp -a I will get another APIPA address in the 169.x.x.x address
Take the new address and use it in the web browser just like normal to access the device

The drive will not update itself automatically. You will have to download the firmware update and update it yourself. You may also want to get the latest Manager software that is Windows 7 compatible.

Good morning. I have installed in my Company a Iomega nas model 450R. This morning after a rebootit seems it can't find the boot disk and the nas asks for a operating system restore or go back to factory...

Hook the hdd up to another pc via a usb adapter & then ethier use Acronis or other imaging software to make an exact image file of the drive. You can save this file for later use if something goes wrong. If no such software is available, then make a new folder on the pc you have it hooked up to & manually save each file. Atleast then you have all the critical stuff, the operating system will have to be re-installed on the 450 if you lose it.
