Where does the cable from the transformer get plugged in? (The black connector)

Actually it connects to a circuit board that is located in a hard to see spot. If you look up from the bottom of the machine with the transformer assembly removed and you look at the circuit board that is furthest from the hand wheel you will see two prongs that the connector attaches to,

My sewing has a 110 volts, but i plug in at 220,wht should i do?

Buy a converter transformer - this will convert the 220v mains to 110v. They are also used as safety isolation transformers on construction sites but cheaper, domestic, transformers are also available for household appliances, but first check the power consumption of your sewing machine by looking at the specification section of the handbook and make sure you purchase a transformer with at least 50% extra power rating.

Husqvarna Viking 980E power will not stay on.

Before you start messing around with splicing cords together etc and possibly wasting more money you need to find where the problem is.
Any reasonable electrician will be able to pinpoint where the fault lies, it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or loose wire in the 3 pin plug, or the fuse in the machines transformer. The transformer is accessed underneath the machine behind a plate held with four screws.
You do not need Viking any reasonable sewing machine guy can sort the problem.

I have imported my american Elna sewing machine to Germany and use an additional plug now for the different currency. The machine light is stronger and the machine runs very fast now. How can I reduce

Are you using a transformer to break the current down from 250 to 110V?? Just putting a plug adapter onto the US plug end is not enough and can definitely damage your machine, I'm assuming its not an electronic machine as it would probably have fried the circuits if it was.

You may have to pay quite a bit for a good quality transformer but it will be necessary.

Hello, My name is David.. I have moved to the uSA

No you cannot, the transformer will work for a while and it will get very hot and cound catch fire. You should get a transformer at least 100 W to 120 W. It can be an auto transformer which is not so bulky as an isolating transformer, but be careful how you wire it up.

Also have look on the machine it self to see how many watts in consumes. The number on the pedal may be the handling capacity of the pedal control.

We have a very old Necchi Model BU Mira, that is integrated into a sewing table. It has a knee pressure speed control. There is no power cord, so I'm trying to figure out where to connect one. It appears...

The power wire (from the wall) connects to a block just under the motor where the on/off switch is. On my machine there is a brown block with the words Necchi italy on it. I unscrew two screw and there is a track were the power cord lays and leads bite in to the cord as the screws are retightened..... The blue wires from the transformer are on the "sewing machine side" of the transformer and power from the wall should not be attached there.

We have just installed a Hampton Bay Flexible Track Light. For some reason we are not getting power to the track. I have used a voltage tester and it indicates that there is power to the power connector,...

Hello. If, by chance, the switch you are using to control this track light is a dimmer switch you will have to replace it with a common switch. Dimmer switches are not compatible with these flex track lights as they use a transformer to drop the voltage. If that is not the case, disconnect your connections and check at that point to be sure that you have 110 volts of power. A light socket on a pigtail that you can temporarily connect to the black and the white wires is an easy way to check. If you do have power at the ceiling box I would once again hook up the wires. Black to black and white to white. IF after all that it still doesn't work as your transformer is probably faulty. Just exchange it for a brand new one and give it another try. Good luck with it. Viking 940 Sewing Machine will not run.

the transformer has broken solder connections between the pins for the plug and the transformer board. Brave? 4 phillips screw. Black box on bottom. remove ribllon cable. Transformer out. 2 screws black cover on transformer off. Theres the board with broken solder joints to the plug pins. The large plug they used on that model broke the solder joint easily. it shoudlnt be blowing fuses though unless he tried to fix it and put in wrong one.
