Question about Carrier XHB153D Air Conditioner
I have had this unit for 10 years. My husband has lost the front panel with the knobs to control it. Do you happen to have a picture of the front controls so I know which way to turn it? I called carrier and have searched the web and can't find anything.
Carrier will not tell the general public alot of information that only technicians can get, most panel knobs are always clockwise to increase speed of fan and either heating or cooling

Check your circuit breaker, "off" and "on" the breaker it my be tripped off. If it wont work may be some fuse blown in the control, or the control itself may be defective.

It sound like the heating sequecer maybe have gone bad on the fan coil unit that you have. You need to call the maintenance personnel that does the work where you live or a service company out to repair the unit because since y0u only rent it is their responsibility to provide youp with heat and if by chance that you have a heat pumo unit then you definately want them to get on the roof to fix the problem. Remember to always change oyur filter inside when ever you get your electric bill because even though it's theeir unit it's your electric!

If i recall right this is a combo gas pack that sits outside, there are no air intake vents on the front panel, but there are intake vents on the side. Make sure they are not blocked also check to make sure when you put door back on that its not crimping any wires.

Look on the back of the panel where the green light is located. You will need to remove the bottom panel of the furnace and on the back of the panel you removed there should be a breakdown of the codes as to what the flashing green lights mean. If the code list isn't there you should be able to obtain the code list online if not try to call a a/c company to see if they have a code list .
Good luck hope this helped you
