How can I change pi value to 3.14 on calculator?

I don't think you can change the pi value on your calculator. However, what you can do is store 3.14 in the memory and instead of using the pi key, recall the number from the memory key.

How to use the various memory keys is outlined in the manual.

Good luck,

Paul

Unresponsible key

Try cleaning the keypad. Reset the calculator. When you press the EXP key or the 2ndF +EXP key try pressing firmly the calculator between your thumb and index (left hand).
To work around this defect (due to the venerable age maybe)
enter the approximate value of PI=3.14159265359 on your calculator and store it in one of the available memory locations. When you need use PI just recall the value to the display.
The EXP key is just a short cut for *10^(exponent). You can explicitly use the general power key.
If you are averse to using this workaround consider acquiring another calculator.

It wont give me the value when i multiply like 6 x pi

Your calculator may be able to use the symbol Pi. If it gives you a result with Pi, you should convert it to a decimal approximation. There must be a key to convert.

HOW DO I USE MY PI ON THIS CALCULATOR?

Look for a key marked with the Greek letter PI. The marking may be on the key itself, or on the faceplate of calculator. If marking is on the key, you press the key to enter an approximate value of Pi. If marking is on faceplate you will have to press the SHIFT key first.

How to use pi button on ti30xIIs

Press the pi key to put the value of pi into the machine. You can then use it as you would any other number.

There's nothing fancy or tricky about it. It's there only to spare you from remembering and typing in the value of pi.

Trying to find the surface area of a sphere given the volume: V = 4/3 X pi X r cube problem given vol. find the surface area v = 5000 5000(3/4 pi =r cube the book reads: 3 cube before and the square...

Almost exactly the way it's written in the book.

In the LineIO mode press
3 SHIFT [xth-root] 5 0 0 0 * 3 / ( 4 * SHIFT [pi] ) ) =

In the MathIO mode press
SHIFT [xth-root] 3 right-arrow 5 0 0 0 * 3 / ( 4 * SHIFT [pi]) =

xth-root is the shifted function of the key just below and right of the big round cursor pad.
* is the multiply key
/ is the divide key
pi is the shifted function of the x10^x key in the middle of the bottom row

BTW there's no "square root" in this problem. There's a "cube root" or "third root". Square root is the second root.
