Most Microsoft Packages come with language packages pre-installed..depending if you had installed it or not. But you will find the languages within the preferences of the package. Just select the wanted language and note to also select that it must be 'default' (if you want to continue only using the preferred language) and then you can start checking your spelling.
In other cases it might be needed that you would need to install the Office Language Language Interface Pack...which would change the entire interface to your recommended language.
