Question about Dell Audio Players & Recorders

I think I deleted my audio software for my dell PC speakers its a desktop everything is plugged in and I try to trouble shoot and do all the directions but it will not let me hit sound for speakers and the message says there is no mixer for it? I try to install don't know what else to do need audio sound for online classes I started in 2 days!

> Check if nothing is muted by any chance
> Go to device and check next to audio device if there is a red X mark or a yellow exclamation mark
> If yes go to the dell website choose support / downloads/ driver and locate the model
> Download and install driver and reboot

SOURCE: My computer does not regonize any audio devices

From a distance, it sounds like you do not have the sound card drivers installed. Since it is a SoundBlaster card, go to creative.com and download a utility that finds, indentifies, and then installs the drivers for your sound card. That should fix the problem. If not, then you have other issues going on with motherboard drivers not being installed installed.

Dell latitude d510 has no sound on it


Trouble shoot Audio Problems.
Steps
1) -Make sure speakers are not muted.
2) -Make sure Windows Audio Service is set to Automatic & Started. (Run services.msc. click on the start menu and click run and type services.msc ) Scroll down to Windows Audio Double click, start the service. And it should be set to "Automatic"
3) -Download & save to your desktop, Audio drivers for your computer model and Operating Systemicon1.png from your Computer MFG Site. (Do not Install yet)
4) -Uninstall Audio Drivers in Deviceicon1.png manager & Reboot.
5) -When new hardware is detected, point to desktopicon1.png for drivers.

This is the software that talks to the hardware. It works majority of the time.

Hi there,
Dealing with no sound problem, first thing you can check is the Physical hardware/Speakers, Make sure speaker volume is ok or if its properly connected, if all is properly configure proceed to next step
2 .Make sure that the Volume control is not on Mute, look at the lower side of the screen you will see there a small speaker icon, Make Sure that it dont have (x)mark on it. if you dont have the icon:
Check Device Manager: Right Click My Computer>Manage>Device Manager

Look for Sound, Video and Game Controllers make sure none of the list got (x) or (!)

if it has (x) on it right click the driver and select enable
if it has (!) download the Audio driver HERE ..
Installing Audio Driver normally fix any software related sound issues.

If you hear the sound on the headphones then the drivers installed correctly and the defect is either hardware - the jack for the headphones is stuck so the internal speakers are no longer activated when you unplug the headphones = the jack will have to be replaced by a shop - or software - you will have to go into the Realtek HD Control Panel and configure the audio outputs correctly = enable or unmute the internal speakers.
The Panel icon can be found in the notification area or in Start > Control Panel.

Try system restore, if it fails, try to perform 32 bit dell diagnostics on the audio by booting the computer using the resource cd. make sure that the external speakers is disconnected. if still no sound on the diagnostics then you need to replace the internal speakers.

Speakers are pretty much universal. Plug them in, and connect the audio cable to the green receptacle on the computer.

what do u mean audio system do u mean to say no sound comes at all ?
if yes first try with a working speaker or a head phone if still no progress go to device manager
right click on my computer > properties > hardware > device manager > and delete everything which is under audio and game controler > restart the system
and than try see you have sound
if your sound card is good ur issue is resolved

Speakers not working, but cables all plugged in...


You might have to reinstall the software that came with the speakers since you had to wipe your computer clean when the virus was on there. The speakers will not work until the software is installed back on your computer.

this would install your integrated audio driver for your system.
