Try inserting a pin into the reset buttoon on the back of the unit. Guess what? I called Samsung Help center and Brendon tells me to post the unit back to the service center so the technician can "look" at it!! What a NIT!

Hope it helps...
Andy

Vl173 screen off center

Sounds like the trouble may be in trusting the auto-set defaults. If you haven't already, try setting the horizontal and vertical settings manually and see if it helps. Those adjustments should be easy to find, and if that will solve the issue, it will be a very simple fix. I hope this helps. -Steve

Auto adjust in progress, want it removed

Your video card or monitor sounds like it might be malfunctioning. Have you tried another monitor? Does it show anything on the screen after turning on the computer? If it does then goes to "Auto Adjust" then try restarting and pressing F8 over and over until you get a menu. Then select VGA Mode. Change the screen resolution by right clicking on the desktop and clicking "Properties" then the "Settings" tab. Use the slider to lower the resolution and then restart.

My westinghouse monitor won't align on the screen. i have tried auto adjust already and it is still missaligned.

Ok, with the Auto adjust, but have you actually tried the buttons that actually manually adjust the screen, size, placement, width, height etc, This will allow you complete control over all aspects of your monitor. You usually select, menu, then step through with one button, and change up, down, side to side, with the left & right buttons.

Pop up auto adjust in prograss

I had the same problem with my HP LCD. I'll turn on the monitor and it will run auto adjust and set everything to the max making the screen very bright. What I did was remove the button panel board and put it back. Everything works fine since then.

Display problem

the adjustment box for colour, brightness and contrast stays fixed on the screen. i tried pressing the exit button.... after a few times it disappears only to reappear within a few minutes. also the auto adjustment option, for which we are supposed to manually press the i button, keeps auto adjusting the screen whenever it feels like it. the box appears right in middle of the screen and is a real nuisance as it blocks out the main portion.

Dell E196FP TCo99 Monitor screen problems

The screen colour changing is apparently an auto test procedure on the monitor and was prompted by a fault with the monitor not automatically shutting down when the computer is shut down. The settings on the monitor have been adjusted to rectify this and the problem is now gone.
