Check refrigerant level and pressures - could be over charged.

This is because the compressor is thermoing out meaning it is getting to hot and the windings on the compressor are opening causing the compressor to go off, it is a safety for the compressor so it does not get ruined. have an ac company or someone who knows what they are doing come take a loo at it, it sound like bad start components to the compressor, also have then check the freon levels as well.

SOURCE: poetable AC compressor licks in for 10 min

It is probably either the high pressure switch or the frost control. The high temp switch usually trips because the condenser coil is dirty which does not allow it to exhaust heat very well. The frost control will trip if the system gets below 39 degrees on the pipes. This is usually do to low refrigerant or dirty filters. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Samsung Ac compressor stops after 20 minutes and fan keep running

eventually, cycling process is doing done if the thermostat sense the configure temperayure set up it will trigger to stop your compressor motor as well as the blower fan, blower fan independenly to you compressor.if your thingking that your compressor is tripping off, check your operating current on one line using clamp ammeter and compare to the rated current that tag on
motor compressor body,if the current flow is higher than the rated current specified on compressor motor, well problem occured it will trip your compressor, because overload protector is becoming your thermostat.but if you got same current result it was cycling process. If tripping off maybe air is present in your system call qualified ac tech, to purge out air in system.

The fan motor is getting hot and going off on the internal overload in the motor.
This is caused by either a low voltage, a bad capacitor, or tight or dry bearings in the motor.
To check the bearings turn the power off to the unit, then spin the fan blade if it spins freely then the bearings are ok.
To check the capacitor you will need some kind of
tester or you can buy a capacitor and replace it, that's what a lot of people do. They usually don't cost very much.
To check the voltage you will need a voltmeter and measure the volts at the unit.

I HAVE 1.5 TON SPLIT A/C WHAT SIZE OF RUNNING CAPACITOR WILL WORK IN COMPRESSOR?

the capacitor that is required is the same size as what is fitted
it will read as voltage and uf number
best have a ac technician check it out as it may not be the capacitor but the power board
some ac units have a capacitor that is in effect two capacitors in one to run the compressor and the cooling fan as well
best get the technician in as it could save a lot of money in the long run

Dawlance split ac

My guess is compressor motor overtemp cutout. So why is the motor overheating? Possibles: Needs bearing oil, bad bearings, compressor too much pressure, overfull with freon, mechanical friction, cooling fan not turning.

Suggest set thermostat to demand less cooling, see if compressor stays on longer.

Sounds like the compressor may be overheating. You need to check the outdoor condenser coil it may be stopped up with dirt, in turn, overheating the compressor. The condenser coil looks like a radiator and the outdoor fan blows through it, in a sense releasing the hot air from the building. If the coil is stopped up, it can not release the heat. You can wash this coil out with a hose and sprayer. Just be careful not to get the motor wet and be sure to shut off power.

the most likely problem is your themostat is stuck in the closed position, not allowing the radiator to do it's job of cooling you engine. Also, check to make sure your radiator fan turns on once your car is warmed up, if it's not on that also will cause your car to overheat. The worst possible problem could be a blown head gasket, in which case you have to take the car to a shop. Now, for the AC issue, you car is designed to turn off the AC system when it detects that the engine is overheating, this is to help prevent engine damage. Once you have the overheating problem solved your AC will work fine.

Compressor starts then stops after maybe 3 mins

Any error codes? If not there may be a mechanical fault with the compressor/inverter. The unit is possibly short on refrigerant, so the compressor is not getting enough suction cooling from return gas, so may be clicking off on its internal over temp klixon.

all the best
