Check all wiring carefully cause i have ran into cases where i find the smallest piece of wire rubbed through the insulation and causes random shorts

SOURCE: riva 67 fire

Just making sure you did replace the Thermopile, not thermocouple. Unless it has an external power source. The thermopile creates the power for the valve to open and close. If the pilot flame is not hitting it correctly it will not produce the power needed to hold the valve open. I would look at the thermopile placement in the pilot flame. Good luck

Deep fryer catching on fire

From the video it appears many things could be wrong. The baffles and burner tubes could be clogged, the burner itself can be clogged, the flue is blocked, or this unit is using the wrong type of gas, ie: propane on a natural gas fryer.
Recommended steps for troubleshooting.
1. Verify proper gas type. Natural or Propane.
2. Check Burners, tubes, and baffles, clean all soot and debris from them.
3. Check for and remove any obstructions from the flue.

My problem with the camera is it eats batteries like crazy. I put new duracel batteries on Friday and didn't use the camera that day and took 11 pictures saturday and the batteries were dead. I have have ...

on the side of some of the battery manufacture they print a date. Make sure that even though you purchased new batteries that they are in deed new to that date. Some stay in stock or on shelves for long times. If you have a battery tester and can test the battery is good, then you know your camera has a drain. Check the manufacture of the cameras web site for firmware updates or recalls, either of which are important. A last note, dont leave batteries in this unit as if it is using power it can overheat in a bag and possibly start fire. Duracel also has an 800 number where you can call and send in the batteries and the camera and they will help replace or fix the camera if this is the case. Most Duacells are rated to last for 7 years when not used

Pilot light keeps going out after about 10 seconds on my Gazco Riva 67 inset fire.

Most likely it is the flame sensor thermocouple not working. Make sure the probe is right abaove the pilot flame and make sure it is clean and not covered in soot. The probe needs to sense the flame or the gas valve closes. These can be found at almost all harware suppliers and stores.

Ok, that only happens when there is something blocking the signal to your Wii's antenna. Try moving the balance board further away from the television.

Hello, I'm having problems getting a new gas fire fitted in my rental property. I have been quoted at £763. I already have a coal effect gas fire on the wall (no fire place) with a flue and obviously...

Older fires have an exhaust flue and get their air supply from the well ventilated room in which they're fitted. Balanced flue fires are the correct choice for rooms which lack sufficient fresh air ventilation. They have a flue which draws in outside air necessary for combustion whilst also acting as an exhaust for the combustion products. To work the appliance must be completely sealed so that no air is drawn from the room; the pressure of the incoming air and the pressure of the outgoing exhaust is equal so the flue is described as balanced.

The lack of a requirement for fresh air ventilation means that less energy is used; open outside vents let heat out as whilst allowing fresh air to enter.

Balanced flue appliances which exit directly through an exterior wall should cost very little more to fit than a regular appliance: the only additional cost may be in blocking up the old flue outlet and creating a new one but this rarely takes more than half an hour. A sealing collar is fitted to the outside of the flue (included in the flue kit) so there may be additional costs in hiring a ladder (or even erecting scaffolding) if you're higher than the ground floor.

Budget-level balanced flue fires typically cost between £350-£500 and the fitting charge may be fair depending upon your property, but it's also worryingly vague. A properly qualified and experienced gas fitter should be able to give you a precise quote and will already possess all of the tools needed to fit a new flue.

Also, ensure that you have your landlord's written permission to fit the new fire. If you don't then the landlord can claim that you have damaged the property and demand that you restore the property to original condition when you leave. If you get permission then you can also expect your landlord to insist that when you leave the property you do not take the new fire with you and that you supply an original copy of the gas fitter's installation certificate. Without this the landlord is within his/her rights to commission a safety inspection at your expense. Note that subsequent annual gas safety checks are required to be carried out by the landlord at his/her expense as per normal.

Use alkaline batteries like duracell. Digital cameras support only extra duty batteries.
