Question about Creative Toys YACKER TRACKER

Open Question

I'm having trouble fixing a 1950's Mattel yacker Larry the Lion. I have been able to fix every other type of vintage pull string toy, but Larry is hard to determine what the problem is. His o ring is intact and a different type of o-ring than all the other pull strings.

How do I repair talking mechanism?

That would be a part you'd need to get directly from the manufacturer. Or better yet, get one from eBay and use it to replace the mechanism or just use it instead. Good luck!

You will have to remove the outside covering material to get access to the box, then open up the box (if possible) to replace the pull string. Check operation before covering up again.

I have a Barbie Mattel O Phone and recently got the records that go inside however I have no instructions. I inserted batteries but it didn't work. Do these old 1960 s toys no longer work, or can they...

HI I BOUGHT A 1969 TALKING SERVICE STATION BUT THE PULL STRING IS JAMMED PULLED OUT HOW DO I FIX THIS AND GET IT TO TSLK AGAIN

mcdevito75 here, you may not be able to as the spring on the pull string may have lost it"s tension or the pull string mechanism is just stuck. You may not even be able to get at the mechanism if it"s a sealed unit, if you can get at the mechanism a little penetrating oil may help. Contact the toy manufacturer online or phone for more help.

Our Singing Bing Crosby Santa doesn't move his mouth any longer, but his head and microphone still move while he's singing. Can we get his mouth repaired somewhere????

I have had the same trouble. I had to take his head apart and there is a string that is attached to the motor that works his mouth. The string has come unattached and needs fixed. The head is put on with a type of staple around the neck.Take them out and you will see what I mean.

String on "The Farmer Says" went inside the toy.

Oh NO! Loved that toy when I was a kid. With a bright light source, check the sides and the back of the toy for the screws. They are there somewhere. Sometimes they have little caps over them that you'll need to remove first.
You may be able to hold the toy upside down and extract the string back out of the hole with a pair of tweezers. I know it's a long shot.
    Good luck!
