What drivers do i need to re-install for my usb ports

The usb ports don't need drivers to work in basic mode. Sounds like the supply to them has failed. Try and get your laptop replaced and remember the last usb device that you plugged in. don't use it again. It was probably faulty.

How to Download Music to a Memory Card?

Downloading music onto memory cards allows you to conveniently transport and store your digital audio. Some personal computers come equipped with built-in memory card readers. However, external devices still provide download capability for those who do not own memory card-ready computers. In either case, the drag and drop process allows you to store your favorite music onto memory cards.
  1. Insert the memory card into an external memory card reader or device associated with the memory card, such as a PDA.
  2. Connect the external memory card reader or device to your computer using a USB cable. Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the external memory card reader or device. Insert the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the computer.
  3. Wait for the computer to recognize the external memory card reader or device. You will access the external memory card reader or device as if it were a drive in your file manager. Skip Steps 1 through 3 and insert the memory card directly into your computer's built-in memory card reader if applicable.
  4. Open the file icon for the memory card reader or device to view its file contents as a folder.
  5. Open the folder containing the digital audio file you wish to download to the memory card.
  6. Drag and drop your desired digital audio file into the memory card reader or device's open file folder.

My Asus x7sa-ds51 laptop will not regonize a card reader I inserted into the usb port

Make sure all the USB ports are enabled. Make sure all the USB ports are free of debris (use duster). If the USB ports work with other devices, then I'm thinking that it a software problem; Is the card reader plug and play, or does it require drivers? Is the device compatible with your OS? And make sure everything is up to date.

Sd reader does not read the card

Does it recognize any other cards? If not the reader has gone bad. You can replace it with a reader that plugs into the usb port from any computer shop for less than $20.

My both usb ports r not wrking n hangs when eithr card reader or pen drive is inserted bt works well when tata photon usb port or mouse port or key board port is inserted ?model- EMACHINES E275

Sounds like your laptop's USB ports are not capable of providing enough power to operate your card reader or pen drive. I suggest you buy an active USB hub (one with external power source, rather than the one which draws power from the laptop's USB port), & attach your card reader and/or pen drive to that USB hub.

How do you download into this thing?

does it have an usb port, cable and drivers cd with it?
- connect to a pc with usb 2.0 port,
if recognized by sytem your the lucky one:
get some mp3's, copy them onto the player (use it s if it was an usb-stick), disconnect, press play

if it stores the data on a little flash-card (similiar to mobile phone cards),
retrieve the card and find a pc/laptop with a card reader, put some mp3 on that machine, copy to card, re-insert- press play

and enjoy

How I get a card reader attched and working

You don't get a card reader attached to anything but a USB port. Remove your memory card from the camera, insert it into an appropriate reader for that card and insert the reader into a USB port. You can transfer pics from there as Windows should recognize the card and reader as a "drive" and assign it a drive letter. Browse to that in any graphics program and you should see your pics.
