Keypad not working

Ever since i replaced a new screen in my d900 my keypad has ceased working

Samsung d900i keypad lights are on, screen dead replaced ribbon still same problem ?

I have the same problem but the screen will work as long as I keep the slider open which is not very practical, as soon as I slide it closed the screen goes black and I have to turn it off and on again :( Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

Samsung SGH D900I- cannot turnoff keypad sound

The steps are outlined in the article below:

D900 FAQ – How do I disable or mute the keypad tone on my SGH-D900? admin March 6, 2009 --> Note: In order to disable the keypad tone, the Dialing Display Font Type must first be set to “Normal”
To change the dialing display font type follow the steps below:
  1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings (9)
  3. Select Display Settings (3)
  4. Select Dialing Display (6)
  5. Select Font Type (1)
  6. Highlight either Normal or Theme, using the navigation keys
  7. Press the left soft key to Save the Dialing Display Font Type setting
To turn off the keypad tone follow the steps below:
  1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings (9)
  3. Select Sound Settings (4)
  4. Select Keypad Tone (2)
  5. Highlight Off, using the up navigation key
  6. Press the left soft key to Save the Keypad Tone setting

restart all setting of ur phone , if this is not working u hav to repair

you need to take apart the phone again and check the connection to the subboard....or have a professional check it for you to see if it is not attached correctly.

what happen to the samsung d900?
is LED on the keypad lights up?? if yes, the problem might be on flex/ribbon that connect keypad to main board. just replace it.

Keypad tone

You need to change the display, change the display so that handwriting is NOT selected and then you can change the keypad tone.

D900 samsung keypad not workin

problem with your phone arises from contact with water or extreme humidity.there are components called varistors that protects cpu from electrostatic discharge,and they are faulty.try to put a phone in a warm place,hopefully it will get dryed out and work again.other solution is to disasemble your phone and remove those faulty components
