Re: number of rings before cut off

Suggest have you tried the EEPROM phone reset code *2767*3855# then use *#638738# to choose your regeion/country this should put the phone back to original factory settings. You never know unless you try. Good luck. *****back up********

How do i change the number of rings before voicemail picks up on a samsung rugby

For all of you that want a real answer here ya go. This isn't something you can change on your phone this has to be changed with your service provider. If you are with AT&T, like I am, then this is the solution for you (link of where I found it below as well). 1. enter *#61*11# and press send/talk on your phone.
2. write down the number your calls are currently forwarded to (usually +1401#######, but not always). this is your voicemail deposit number.
3. decide how long you want the phone to ring in 5 second intervals. the maximum time is 30 seconds. i'd recommend 25 seconds or less, as using 30 may cause you to be billed for a minute of airtime each time someone is forwarded to voicemail.
4. now enter **61*[number from step 2]*11*[number from step 3, use 2 digits]# and press send/talk.

voicemail deposit number is +14015551212
you want it to ring for 20 seconds
you would enter **61*+14015551212*11*20# and press send/talk.

if you have trouble with the above procedure, you can always call customer care at 800-331-0500 to change it.
OR QUESTION: How can I adjust the number of times my wireless phone will ring before the caller goes to voicemail? ANSWER: Contact Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500 or dial 611 from your wireless phone to change the amount of time your phone will ring before going to voice mail. The adjustments made by Customer Care are based on the traditional ring heard by the caller, not the unique Ringtone you hear from your phone. I just wanted to add that increasing the ring length to 30 seconds will not cause you to be charged a minute should the caller go to voicemail. This was confirmed by an AT&T technician.

Sorry to bother you but how do i transfer a call from one phone to another phone please, i have tried all different ways but seem to cut callers off, i have bt synergy 5500. thank you Yvonne

Hi Yvonne
If you look on the phone there should be a transfer button, press this then phone the number required to put the call through when the person answers tell them you have a caller on the line who it is and then you are putting them through now.....just put the phone down then they should be connected together now.

If this doesn't work try and get hold of a user guide book on this model because you are still cutting them off with this method...........GOOD LUCK

If i want to reject some call. thn how could it b possible

Without a specific make and model from you, I dont know about your phone specifically, but most cellphones,if you press the End Call button while the phone is ringing, it will reject the call.

Most cellphones send the caller to voicemail when the call is rejected. Some simply cut the caller off.

I am almost certain that this will work, I have yet to see a cellphone that doesn't.

Make sure you have Any Key Answer turned OFF in your Call Menu...

Some phones let you choose which activity answers incoming calls. Most options are Answer Key to answer, Any Key To answer, or Flip Open to answer. Choose the Answer key Only to pick up calls.

Then, when you press the End Call button, your caller will be rejected....
Good Luck!!

Ring tone cuts out too fast. How do I prolong dialing tone so thst I can grt to phone before it cuts out?

When the ring tone cuts out, your caller goes to your voice mail, right?

The length of time before an unanswered caller goes to voice mail is called your "ring cycle" and is set by your phone carrier (e.g. Vodaphone, Verizon, Orange, etc.)

There shouldn't be any charge to change your ring cycle, and some cell carriers will let you adjust it from your account settings on their website, but the simplest answer is just to call your carrier's customer service and ask them to change the ring cycle for your number.

For cell carriers in the US, you can call 611 from your phone to reach your carrier's customer service, but I don't know about other countries' mobile carriers.

Number blocking

One thing I can think of is to put the # in the contact list, and set the ringer to "no ring"

At least that will keep the early AM calls to a minimum.....if it came to that....
depends on your phone..most cells only have the "block only people not in my phonebook" feature...should be undber settings and security

that is the only solution I have heard of.... setting the ringer for that person to "silent"... you still have voicemail to sift through though they cant call you.

Callfilter works PEFECTLY FINE on the Treo 650.
1.14, works just fine.
Go download Callfilter.
Add a "rule" with her number. It will dump her to voicemail, won't even ring.

Greatest. Thing. Ever.

I have 14 numbers on my block list. I call them back, when I feel like it. But it goes to voicemail, everytime. I'm government service, so turning off the phone, or being a wuss and not answering every call won't cut it. I have to be reachable - AT ALL TIMES.

So I am.Just depends on what your throwing up on my Caller ID display. If you're on my CallFilter list - you ain't getting through.

Caller ID set up and poor audio quality

Set up the callers in your contacts. You must have the area code for the name to show up. You must dial the area code for the name to show up when dialing out.

The hearing problem could be the person you are talking to, if your volume is all the way up. If you are sure that it is you I would talk to a motorola technician. Let me know how it goes.
