-   i have compaq presario 2381TU.....all of a sudden my laptop wont detect my cd drive anymore,when i scan for hardware changes in the device manager,the system shuts doen automatically sometime showing a bluescreen with ntoskrnl error and sometimes with a ntfs error.otherwise the laptop runs just fine,with windowsXP loading normally.i made a backup of all my data and tried reformatting the hard drive.but to avail,once the system loads from the xp cd,and reaches the option where i press enter to install windows or R to repair,on pressing either,it provides me with an error that there are no drives detected on the system,and windows cant proceed further.the hard drive self test in bios comes out totally clean.jus recently,i had been hit by the AMVO.exe trojan.though the system seems to be clean now.....i really have no clue how to tackle the current problem.i'l be really grateful if somebody can help.....-   Fractal
