Received new Maytag Gas Range. I have propane. . After switching the brass aperture to the propane side, there is no fitting to connect to gas line 3/8" female to 1/2" male the 3/8" has an odd thread

The odd thread might be a left-hand thread; fuel gas connectors often are.

As well as switching the air bleeds to propane you need to ensure the right gas pressure is being delivered to your stove.

A local plumber's merchant or similar should be able to supply the fittings you need.

How do I connect a Manfrotto - 026 Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite) to a tripod?

Deborah
If you bought the Manfrotto #026 Lite-Tite new, it should have come with (2) brass adapters..., ((1) with male 1/4-20 & 3/8-16" threads & (1) with female 1/4-20" & 3/8-16" threads). All universal photo tripods made in the last 30 years use these (2) thread sizes. All you should need to mount this unit to a tripod is the 'female' adapter spud. If you are missing this item..., it is a Manfrotto #119 adapter (available through most photo dealers).

I have a Hans Grohe shower head extension #27479000 that requires a 1/2" male NPT nipple extending 5/8" from the finished wall surface. I found the female pipe thread in the 27479000 is threaded...

NPT and NPS are the same. Screw away! If your female thread is plastic and your male thread is metal, you must be careful not to overtighten as overtightening can crack the plastic on the female thread. Good luck, and don't forget your teflon tape. 4 to 5 wraps is good unless you have heavy duty gas piping teflon, then use less.

What size npt thread is the adaptor

Common American National Standard Pipe Taper Threads
  • NPT - National Pipe Thread Taper
  • FPT - female (internal) National Pipe Taper threads
  • MPT - male (external) National Pipe Taper threads
  • NPTF - Dryseal American National Standard Taper Pipe Thread (ANSI B1.20.3)
For NPT threads a sealant compound or Teflon tape must be used for a leak-free seal. For NPTF no sealant is needed for a sealing.
Characteristics of NPT (also known as ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 Pipe Threads, General Purpose):
  • tapered thread 1o 47'
  • truncation of roots and crests are flat
  • 60o thread angle
  • pitch is measured in threads per inch
Note! Pipe sizes do not refer to any physical dimensions. The outside diameter of a pipe or fitting must be measured and compared to a table for size identification. A 3/4" NPT pipe thread has an outside diameter - OD - of 1.050 inches.
Each thread size has a defined number of threads per inch - TPI, or pitch. The 3/4" NPT pipe thread has 14 threads per inch. Both the TPI and OD of the thread are required for positive identification of thread size because more than one size have the same TPI.

NPT threads are not interchangeable with NPS - National Pipe Straight - threads.
NPT threads may look similar to ISO 7/1 threads. However, ISO and NPT threads should not be mixed. ISO threads have 55o taper angle versus 60o for NPT. The NPT root and crest configurations are also different from ISO. For ISO threads pitch is usually measured in millimeters (may be expressed in Inch). The pitch are different.

My LG LD25EL has an outlet nozzle that connects to a hose. Problem is, I can't find a hose that has the right size thread width to screw on it. Any advice?

you may be able to find a male to male pipe thread brass or copper or even reg. galvinised pipe or pcpvc or pvc anything that will fit in the hole ... or if the outlet is a male find a female union you can go to the hardware and ask for the pex pipe fittings, thats prob. the first place to look they have many sized pex fittings and next what you would then do is find a flexable vinal tube larger than the outlet threads and rap the threads with teflon tape a few times. then next use a hose clamp slide the larger tube over the threads and tighten the hose clamp and check for leaks jason

I have a neiko 300/1200 PSI burst 3/8 air hose. Is there a piece i can buy to attach at one end to act as a splitter for dual hoses?

Last I checked they dont make a splitter. However if you just go to HD or Lowes buy 1 male and 2 female fittings. Be sure they are the same size of the ones you already have. you will need a brass t piece and the threaded couplers to put it all together. Talk to the tool guys there and they will hook you up.

good luck. Dont forget to post satisfaction

Plastick water lines to brass shower handle i used teflon tape to try to seal. plastick threads are male to female brass

If the waterline is plastic then it may be PEX. Wrap the male plastic threads in a few wraps of teflon tape. Screw on a Brass PEX fitting onto the plastic threads and then connect the PEX pipe with a crimping tool.

Is that what you were looking for? If not let me know a few more details.

Thanks,
