Question about Kenwood KDC-MP642U

Open Question

Ok for you people who have a kdc-mp642u and cant figure out how to turn on aux function start by setting your radio on standby then once in standby hit the fnc button then a menu will pop up go in there and scroll till you see aux and turn it on there you go I had figure it out on my own all these other people are stupid and just post ways that don't work this is the true way I just did it thanks

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP235 installed now and bought a cable to run from my MP3 player into the aux input on the front of the unit but I can not get it to play or find an aux input switch anywhere on the...


hey dear, just do this if you wanna set AUX function: turn off your head unit.. when is in standby mode, press the volume knob and hold it pressed until it appears some words... then start moving on to differente options by clicking left-right of the right knob... you will find aux on-off

not sure if standby mode, or completely turned off (to turn it off just click the SRC mode a few seconds)

Put the radio in standby by toggeling through the src menu. once the radio is in standby hold the function button until the menu pops up, scroll through the menu till you find the AUX feature, and set it to ON.

How to use mp3 with kenwood kdc mp235


turn radio to stanby. hold function key until a menu appears. then switch on aux in. this should alow you to plug ipod in throough aux in on source menu.

it should be in aux try to press source buton and see if that is an option if not an alternative is to hook it up on the back of the cd player in the audio in or aux or aux 2 using a wire adapter from walmart in the car sterio section

You need to switch the aux function back on and to do this you need to turn the radio on to standby and press and hold the menu button for a few seconds and then use the toggle switch on the right side of the fascia to get to aux and then flick the switch forward to switch the aux on

juve, your taught me that by going to standby mode then holding the menu button and browseing through with the right side knob to the aux option and turn it on, defalt its not on you have to set it up, thank you juvie

for the "AUX input" source put it in standby mode and hold menu... scroll down to "aux in" and turn it on by pushing right
