Question about Siemens Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a front load A07-16 electronic model. The issue here is once the washing process started, the drum rotates only for a second and then stops. It is filling water without any issue. It is continuously trying to rotate, but not able to speed up the rotation and finally stops (like not enough power to rotate the drum). The same issue shows in spin mode too (drum starts rotates but not able to speed up, then finally stops after 2 to 3 attempts). Please help me to find the root cause of this issue.

SOURCE: Pounding noise after wash and final spin

  • The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

SOURCE: Water leak under the rotating drum

Have you removed the front panel?

If not remove front panel two screws 5/16 on bottom

Start the washer in a cycle. look with a flash lite and look for leak.

    It maybe the rubber boot.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I will also need model number, because a AWS52NW is a top loader model number not a front loader.

    SOURCE: no spin

, Hi , My Zanussi Aqua Cycle 1000, Wash cycle (s) appear to start and run as normal, however the the Spin cycle does not kick in, it seems to try, both long and short spin functions have the same problem, also when I set the dial to spin out side of a wash cycle the result is the same , ie it trys to spin but fades after scaling up to very low revs....any ideas, could it be the Carbon brushes? if so are they easily obtained and fitted..Thank you

SOURCE: Program switch of Indesit-WD105T starts rotating

I had the same problem. I followed the signal lamp code and replaced NTC dryer sensor. The same error code came again. After that I reprogrammed EEPROM with original program and start getting different error codes. Finally I replaces all of electrolytic capacitors and it just start working with no problem. So, if you are planing to repair indesit than start with capacitors.
Tip: use capacitors with higher voltage than original, because voltage on PCB is around 16v

Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 Front Load Washer - DRUM DOESN'T CYCLE

This seems to be a fault with the program controller unit or the water level sensor. The program does not advance further after the inlet is filled but operates the drain to exit water. Now the water level sensor must be checked as if this is not working in the stipulated time it will drain out. Also unless the water level sensor contacts on reaching of set level the motor must start.

If this has a belt, then the belt may be broken or stretched out. Bad drum bearings can seize up and won't let the drum rotate anymore. A bad door switch can cause the machine not to run.

What causes the tears in the bellow seals on front loaded washers

It’s caused by gradual wear and tear through the vibration of the machine and rotation of the drum. If they are breaking down too often then it may be that your washing detergent mix or use of bleach or how you clean the bellows is weakening the rubber. Also excessive and heavy loads put more stress on the drum and can cause the drum to lurch dramatically from side to side which will end up in causing the bellows to wear / tear.
