Is there a fee for this service?

I assume you are wanting to use one remote box to control most/all of your equipment? Some remotes have that capability, others do not, as they run only the piece of equip they came with, or perhaps that branded equipment.

My suggestion, if you can't come up with instructions for your current remote, is to look into purchasing a universal remote which specifically lists your models of equipment you wish to run. The better ones may also have the capability of doing advanced programming (timed record for example) of your VCR.
