Disconnect A/V jacks message appears

The above message appears anytime I try to change the channel. I have noticed that the front A/V jacks are loose and wondered if there was a way to disable them so that the T.V. will work properly again. Thanks for your time. Brad

Can't switch it to channel 3?

Hi Jim,

I assume you have manually tried to switch the tv to channel 3 and not just the remote, If just the remote then possibly the remote is the problem but if you have tried manually switching to channel 3 then there appears to be a problem on the internal board. If you attempt the following be very aware of the High HT Voltages throughout the TV. Could be either of the following:- 1. A wire may of come loos from the channel switching section. 2. Bad contacts on the connecting plug to the board. 3. The IC which controls the channel change may be blown and need s replacing.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

What's your question?my tv does not display but it change the channel so please help me.

So the audio works? From your question that would appear to be the only way to know that it is changing channels. Have you tried a different input like a videogame console or DVD. Depending on how your TV is connected it could be as simple as a loose video cable or even a problem with your cable provider.

I have no control over the channel selection; the channel keeps changing and I'm powerless to stop it. The issue is not with the remote; the same thing happens if I attempt to tune to a channel manually on...

The problem is likely with your front panel control buttons - the CH up button (tact switch) is stuck on (shorted or changed value). In order to temporarily correct the problem remove the Ch up switch that is located on the front panel control board - it would have to be unsoldered- and then when one is available replace the "tact" switch.

Front Audio Video inputs not working

What model TV is it?
it may be you need to change the input to video 1 or video 2 to get those front jacks to work. if there is a TV/Video button on the front you should be set. If not you may need the remote control. Sometimes changing the channel to below channel 1 will give you that option.

Missing Channels

you may have a bad tuner that is the part that changes the channels. If there is the input jacks you can use them to input a VCR or cable box and use them as a tuner
