My air conditioning will not turn on. The thermostat control has only four buttons, two adjusting the temp up or down, one turns the fan on or on auto and the other selects the system cool heat or off. When...

After setting the unit to cool and adjusting the temperature, the compressor should run if the light stops flashing. Check the condenser, if the fan and compressor does not run, check the contactor if it is energized or pulled in. If the contactor is not pulled in there must be no power or the holding coil is open. If the condenser fan is running without the compressor, check your compressor, high pressure switch, and capacitor.

Heater Fan Motor stops working

fan mtr needs to be replaced. If you locate the mtr under dash on the passenger side or under hood. then wiggle wire connector or lightly tap on the mtr. if mtr. cuts on and off you have found the problem

With the thermostate off the interior fan runs but when i turn the thermostat on it trips the breaker

Not good! The thermostat only supplies power to the compressor section, so a breaker tripping is a sign of a 'dead' short to that area. If lucky, it just an exposed wire or terminal connection damaged in that area, but rarely the cause. More likely is compressor mtr "locked rotor", or stuck "potential" start relay holding the mtr circuit in hi-amp load, or shorted internal motor winding's. The condensor fan can also short closed, but is rare due to it's design. I have to assume the electic breaker suppling that circuit is not failing, as cause?

Case lights and fan do not come on, ''H'' appears on digit readout

This sounds like a refrigeration problem. On most freezers there are temperature switches that control the interior fan and light. The fan and light will not come on until the temp switch senses that the evaporator coil is at freezing or below. The "h" is a "high temp warning I would gues. :)

which motor? compressor, condenser mtr next to the compressor or the mtr inside the frzr?
first chk to see if the fan mtr inside the frzr is running, if mtr is runnnig, then you have a problem w/compressor or relay loacted on compressor. alot of those compressor are locking up for no reason and maytag has a RECALL notice on their refrigs. contact maytag to see if your model is effected.

Cooling fan wont work

The water temp sensor is located near the thermostat housing. This sensor is what tells the ECM to turn the fan on/off. The water temp sending unit is located near the same area. You know you have the correct sensor is because the water temp sensor has a 2 prong plug. The water temp sending unit only has 1 prong.
